5492738 No.5492738 [Reply] [Original]

For 7 years you save up enough money to buy a female companion robot. On your first night together, you have wild and crazy sex until you can no longer stand. You make promises that you will never part with one another, and you collapse holding her in your arms near the home fusion power source.

The next morning you wake up to her smile. Something seems different - she seems slow and confused, forgets things often and acts clumsy. She never refuses your advances on her but does not seem to take any pleasure from them either.

You run diagnostics on her and realize that having been in close contact to a high strength magnetic field that her personally has been glitched. She will never be the same.

Do you send her back for warranty? Do you keep her?

Yes I would have her repaired. It isn't any different than a human visiting the hospital

Full reset.
It's not like I'm attached to her yet, after all what you describe is nothing but lust and not really a relationship.

If what I was facing was her slowly having corrupted memory sectors after 7 years of living together, then I don't know what I would do. Probably stick by her side and make those remaining memories really special.

So, future human interface robots are also magnetic field sensitive? I can't believe that, unless they store their data in floppy disks, and that's pretty much impossible. More like electrostatic discharges.

By the way, I am a technician, I could fix it myself.

I'd back up what I could, format/install a new brain as necessary, and reinstall the personality OS. It's not like I wouldn't have been modding and backing her up anyway. (My waifu's not a mac, right?)

Just reset her from a backup, and don't be such an idiot as to have an unshielded reactor in your house!

>> No.5492799

But if I get a new one then it seems the same thing would happen. I would first have to find out what is the source of the magnetic field. And even then, I would just install Gentoo on her and take it easy with her by my side for the rest of my life.

Well, to tell you the truth, it's not like if your penis is made of metal, so even if you insert it inside... supposing that the inside of the pussy is protected by a metalic skeleton recovered by synthesized artifical skin... not even a capacitor. Nah, you wouldn't damage her, unless you reach the on/off switch.

I remove her moe SD card that I mistakenly inserted as I woke up. I then insert the deredere one so she can go happily make me breakfast.

My waifu will have only the basic hardware. Her personalities will be entirely on solid state media that I ram into her head as I please.

The skelleton should be something hard, robust that last for long without even deform a bit. Something metalic. Of course, the skeleton must be shunt to ground.

Of course, appart of the artificial skin, there must be another layer that isolate the internal circuits from the exterior, so there's no probability of interferences with signals or external magnetic fields, and of course, protect the exterior from any interferences/magnetic fields coming from the inside of the robot.

This is interesting. One day I should design one.

>> No.5492991

>>5492975
>without even deform a bit.
Things that can't deform, break.

>> No.5492996

If any magnetic fields from the exterior reach the power source circuit, there's a probability of malfunctions due to a modification of the power values. It must have a circuit that limits any current peak, just in case. Some kind of a fuse, but more modern, with the capacity of restoring itself after a while.
