It...it's not even an Atlus game.

I don't have a 360.

;_;

What guy? I'm not trying to start console wars or anything, I just hate it since it gets all the weeaboo games after I already bought a PS3 because I thought that would be getting the weeaboo games. Also, fuck region locking.

>> No.5439342

>>5439330
All games are pretty easy as far as single player stuff goes.

If you can't beat games on hard mode within a couple tries you are a fucking casual.

>> No.5439351

>>5439343
That's why I bought a PS3, too. Fuck.

>> No.5439356

I was planning on getting it, but I don't want to be penniless when Rorona comes out.

I wish that would get a solid release date.

What's Sony got to do with it? It's the companies making the games that decide which platform their games go on and accept bribes from Micro$oft to use their platform

Seconded.

Go buy Gundemonium on the PSN and show that there's an audience.

>> No.5439381

Only reason I wish this would be on PS3 is so I can use my arcade stick. Oh well, getting it for 360.

Does that faceplate even fit the new 360s?

>> No.5439420

>>5439389
The new ones that are just released? No, they aren't even shaped the same.

But if you bought one of those new ones you are retarded, unless you did not originally own a 360.

>> No.5439430

>>5439366
In case you didn't notice 360 is pretty much the system for shooting games. Cave's stuff, Otomedius, Raiden IV, Raiden Fighters Aces, Ikaruga, Trigger Heart Excellica and others on XBLA, hell even that game made by Microsoft interns that is free on XBLA. It just became the system for shooting fans.

I have every system but I clearly see why the weeaboo niche market games go to the 360.

It is FAR easier to make games for the xbox than the dreaded PS3. With adequate manpower and budget you can push the PS3 harder than a 360 and get better results, but few developers do this.

Say the break even point for an xbox title is 15,000 units sold... the PS3 break even point could be as high as 25,000 sales just to recoup the development costs.

If a title succeeds on the xbox, it will justify a PS3 port a year later (tales, star ocean, etc). Sometimes the opposite happens (agarest war was on PS3 first in Japan) but it seems to be more rare.

Great game, already preorded 3 copies to show support.

Aren't the demographics skewed though? Japs have a ton more ps3s. It's just so weird that the 360 would be the otaku system.

>> No.5439550

>>5439499

Otaku have a ridiculous amount of disposable income (any K-on related instrument selling out in a week, for example). They will buy an xbox for a single game they crave.

If the Otaku come to you regardless of the system, as a small time developer you develop for the cheaper system (PC or xbox).

>> No.5439605

>>5439499
I think it's more of Microsoft execs taking advantage of a niche market than anything else. It's not like they gravitated towards the 360, the 360 just happens to be very similar to code for as PC (where most eroges and other otaku-ish stuff reside) and a buttfuck ton easier to code than the PS3, plus to ensure sales they pay to make some titles exclusive.

The idea of the American system being the one utilized for otaku stuff definitely is strange though. But I'm glad they at least are making use of the Xbox over there for some good games, since I'm rarely impressed with anything coming out of the West for it these days. In fact if there was no interesting niche games from Japan I'd probably never even touch my 360 period anymore.

>> No.5439617

I still can't figure out if I want to buy an American or Japanese Xbox yet.

I understand that this happens ridiculously frequently but my 360 still runs perfectly. I've had and used it for years.
I assume it's just a matter of time, though.

>> No.5439673

>>5439664
It's most likely a matter of time. Mine has never been knocked over, never been kept in a small dusty space, never been on the carpet, etc. and it just RROD'd on me for the 3rd time this year. It has also mutilated The Orange Box and Tales of Vesperia beyond belief.

>> No.5439689

I'm really temped to buy this when I get my last bit of income tax back

If for just one game to play off my 360. It can't hurt to show support to a genre like this in NA

>> No.5439697

>>5439633
Most are region free and if they aren't you might be able to just import the Japanese or even European version of the game.
On the other hand many Japan only games aren't playable at all on an American 360. If I had to choose I'd pick a Japanese console. There are too many games I'd miss out on otherwise.
