Yes, it says so on the front. Big disclaimer when you start the game up. It wouldn't lie, would it? It's as much of a canon part of the eroge as the actual scenario itself. Therefore, without any further evidence, we have to assume that the characters are 18 or over and thus not in highschool, they're in a three year university/work prep school that takes place after highschool and is mandatory to attend.

To explain. I am a guy who was tired of seeing lack of enthusiasm for translating Eushully games. So I asked for a way to change the scripts in the engine files, and thanks to Virux I have that.

I the tlwiki page should be up in abit (currently it's on my user page).

This project is severely undermanned, and I have not formally learned Japanese, so for now I hope to get by by translating lines each couple of days and running them by the IRC channel for guidance.

Superior as it preserve the connotation of respect and politeness which cannot be expressed using the English language. This is especially true if the game itself uses this extensively as a plot device.

One example I can think of hand is HinataBokko, whereby Nanase at first calls the protag "Natsuki" without honorifics as she dislikes the protag, and then later changed it to Natsuki-san and subsequently Onii-chan as she grows to respect and even adores the protag. Mangagamer of course happily translate everything as "Natsuki" which doesn't show this change at all

And because the are important in denoting/identifying/interpreting status and relationship. Japan's culture is big on potliness and respect, and they are usd in nearly all form of media, obviously. They carry nuance that aren't translatable or have equal equivalences in English. And just having them makes the character tons better. In endearing to moe to fucking love.
