OH GOD THERES A BAT IN MY ROOM

What do I do? I'm scared of it. Why can't it just stay in a corner quietly and not fly around?

Do I ask /an/? I'm more comfortable around you guys.

I don't have any appropriate Remilia-related images for this either.

Uh.. I actually have no idea what's supposed to be scary about bats, unless it's the motherfucking batman.

Open the window and let it fly off.

They're vectors for rabies, ebola and Marburg fever, amongst a few others I can't recall offhand, but that's rare (like 1 in 200 bats for rabies. ) Otherwise harmless. Don't get bitten.

Depends on the bat. Some eat insects and such. I guess a good way to tell is looking at the face. If it looks cute, probably a fruit bat. If it looks like this picture, it probably eats bugs.

I had one of these in my room the other day.

Put on some long pants and a hooded sweater if your that scared.
Just try to catch it gently with a soft towel. There's a good chance its not going to attack you, but it will try to fly away.

Corner it, catch it, keep it, or release it out your window. Bats are fairly non-aggressive and shy, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Ok, first you need a sizable tupperware bin, and a functioning microwave.

Well, I turned on my lights and blasted music. It went out into the living room and sorta huddled into a corner after flying around. I left the door outside open and closed the door to my room, so at least I know it's not in my room.

Is there a good chance that it'll just fly out by itself?

I thought rabies made animals act more vicious.

Seeing as I made this thread in a panicked state while it was flying around over my head, I'd say it was just as scared as I was, if it had rabies, wouldn't it have bitten me?

I remember when I lived in a house near some woods, in that time I had friends, and almost everyday we went out and hunted lizards and shit.

Those were good times, ignorance is bliss.

also OP, use some sheets to capture the little fucker, just throw them over it, and if you are too much of a pussy, use some welding gloves or something, then go outside and release the bloodsucker... or try to breed some ojou-samas.
