Btw, before anyone calls me out for calling riichi on a yakuman... Consider these.

1. I didn't actually realize I was tenpai for Churen Poto until I dealt the riichi tile.
2. The guy to my left called riichi and was tenpai on 1 and 4 sou. The girl to my right discarded 3 sou on her last turn, and had 4-8-8-8-9 sou left. She totally would have discarded 4 sou had I not called riichi. Instead, she dealt the 7 pin tile I dealt for riichi. I wouldn't have gotten that yakuman otherwise.
3. It was a riichi ippatsu. Ippatsu'ing a yakuman is always awesome.

Okay, maybe not definitely, but it could have happened eventually, and a second riichi definitely made her rethink her discards. She might've at least tried to go for tenpai otherwise.

And I feel like I'm one of the few/only players who holds onto the pei tiles until my hand is isshanten (potential rinshan kaihou, "chankan," or safe tile), but that tends to backfire if I draw two or more. I just happened to get two more pin tiles after declaring pei, and instead of going for chinitsu like my original intent, it went towards Churen Poto (although I was tenpai for Churen Poto ever since I drew the 6 pin, it seems).

Here's another tiny chinitsu quiz. Apart from the 2sou, what were the other outs and the best out (assuming none were on the board)?

1, 2, 4, 5, 7 sou were the outs, with 2 and 5 being preferred due to giving sanankou, and the red 5 being the best out.

Landed a riichi ippatsu ron, but if it had been the red 5 it would have been yakuman.
