Not really. The scarlet mist incident came about because a mansion somehow plopped down in the middle of a lake. They were outside of the border for the most part.

I'm saying that China's around 300 or so because of the fact that her explicit age is never mentioned, but the "oldest youkai" are constantly referred to. Tewi and Yukari are the ones that come to mind right off the bat. China is not one of them.

No and yes. The average age of death is lowered considerably when you take in the fact that most people died before they turned 5, but most people that lived to maturity lived for quite a long time (on average 60-70 years).

Yes, but just because easy transportation wasn't around back then and people had to be more physically fit to survive doesn't change the fact that it's easier to get into shape and maintain it these days. Same with teeth. But caring about it and actually having healthy teeth are two different things.
