/jp/'s core userbase is pretty small in actuality. You can very easily tell the normal posters by the passerbys. I would assume the small userbase of otakus and not the western version (naruto and ramen sugoi) is pretty gender neutral, since at our level it is more then a hobby and a lifestyle. So a commitment is needed. A commitment to taking it easy. disgusting, dirty, ugly 3d girls can take it just as easy as guys so I'd say /jp/'s core userbase is 25% female.

He's right about the small core userbase that spends altogether too much time here, but I'd say the girl fraction is a lot lower since the stuff here is targeted towards guys.
