Well, considering the clock's current behavior, it's more likely to be a shy, clumsy young girl who cannot even properly sound an alarm because she's too quiet. Possible enmity with my computer is possible though, since the latter is the one responsible for waking me up.

I'm now imagining a clock girl chiding the laptop about how waking me up is her job and that it should understand as a fellow household device, and then pouting and complaining about how stuck-up modern devices have become because she thinks the laptop is ignoring her on purpose and not you know, just being a laptop.
