Run anchor.exe (or Emuera, depending on the game), Japanese locale is advised so you don’t run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav and dat folders to avoid any bugs.

If you’d like to either edit or add your own portraits, the files are located within the ‘resources’ folder in webp format. You can use paint.net to edit them.

Gems are basically EXP for the actual traits they're linked to, but they're also basically the "mood" of the character you're messing with.
Like ther's gonna be more desire when you're having sex than when you're just talking to her for example.
But it still "piles up" in the stats, if you mouse hover their general traits and skills I think, you can see them, like cooking, combat, or just sex skills in general.
Updates no matter the content are fully from people that decide to give a hand, so unless someone feels like writing for a character no one's gonna touch that character. We had Flandre with barebone dialogue for a while for example but there's a dude writing a fucking book worth of dialogue for her for a bit now.

My suggestion for shitting on fairies and winning easily is by befriending and helping out Momoyo, so she gives you the power of the centipede or whatever. The first one is tricky, because you'd have to edit INFO.ERB directly, for the second one you want to make @EVENTCOM function in your new file, or @EVENTCOMEND if you want to execute it at the end. We'll go with the latter.
So we have an @EVENTCOMEND function, probably with a #LATER flag just in case we want the game to look at it last. Now we check for the weather. There are functions for those, but I forget those, so I do it the old fashion way by checking the array directly with magic numbers (look up in docs\資料\変数一覧\TIME.txt). We want it to trigger for any active 2hu, so we place an IF TARGET check. We want it to activate only once per day, so we place && ONCE("WeatherEffect") check next to it which will make it activate once per 2hu. TIME:7 tracks current celestial event, and let's say there's rainbow, so we place a check IF TIME:7 == 1 and whatever event text you want below. Oh, lookie, a rainbow brought a smile to %CALLNAME:TARGET%'s face, whoopdeedoo. Place TALENT:機嫌 = 1 after that to set the good mood. Maybe there's something else going on, so the next check is for weather, with ELSEIF GROUPMATCH(TIME:5, 4, 5, 14) to see if it's coming down, so her mood worsens with TALENT:機嫌 = -1. Don't forget to close it with ENDIF, and you're done.
