Is ryukishi using Umineko as a metaphor to imply that there is in fact a metaphysical realization of religious and secular delusions and hallucinations in an observer-created multiverse?

Or is this just a third-rate mystery taking place in a first-rate fantasy world.

It's the Blair Witch Project + Sherlock Holmes + And Then There Were None, with a dash of moe thrown in for good measure.

Don't recall anything like that in Umineko.

1st sentence yes, 2nd depends on how he actually solves his own story. If the answer really is DID meido playing witches then I don't see this being a 1st or 2nd rate mystery or fantasy. Then again maybe ryukishi is smarter than we think.

I wonder. Either way there undoubtly is a lot of thought put into the story and I am looking forward to the resolution. Guessing games have been fun but lately not so much as say like after episode 4.
