Is looking at wikitionary for kanji a bad idea?
Meanings there don’t match up with the meanings in sentences.

Yeah I know, its just that wikitionary is useless if you want to learn japanese. Here is the explanation.

気のせい is a collocation. Wikitionary doesnt list collocations.

>> No.45203051

I applied for a job that sponsors visa renewals, and made sure to write in my cover letter AND mention at the interview that I'd be needing sponsorship AND that my visa expires soon, before their probation period would, so I'd need them to sponsor my visa soon. I showed them my zayru card and they saw the expiration date. The interviewers are all native English speakers.

After jumping through all the hoops and spending time and money to attend interviews, I get offered the job but, guess what: they want to know what I plan to do about my visa because it expires before the probation period so they can't sponsor me. WTAF!!!

This sort of thing happens frequently with a certain type of foreigner, but more often with Japanese people. They simply ignore what you say and then act like you never said shit. I've tons of examples, but just this past week I also had: told someone, "I'll do X tomorrow," and they replied asking, "Could you do X tomorrow?" Didn't I just tell you, you idiot?; someone asked me to do thing B while I was doing thing A, so I said, "Sure, I'll do it right after I finish thing A," but they kept asking if I could do thing B. Like, what?!

Is it me? Does everyone else communicate smoothly here? Is it just a form of petty, time-wasting control BS?

>> No.45203404

>>45203051
they wanted the details on how to go about the visa business. they wanted you to do A right away and not after B.

There was a second cinematic that played on the title screen after the music finished (on the Gamecube at least) that was pretty great, but can't find it at all on the internet.
