Let's face it: ZUN has lost his touch. Ever since around Touhou 8, the Touhou series has been bland and soulless. The games used to have a sense of fun and magic to them, but now, it feels as if ZUN is only producing content out of robotic motions.

Personally, I think that Touhou 13 will be the end-all of the Touhou series. If ZUN doesn't step it up and go back to what made the series great, a lot of fans will probably drop it, myself included. ZUN needs to either retire the series or restart producing quality, original content, or else the same fate that happened to Sonic the Hedgehog will happen to Reimu, Marisa, and Sanae -- Childish pandering to the mindless fanbase and stale content.
