I miss the books written in the style of the Gensokyo chronicle that contain new information about characters. So much new content can be created by fans with just a little bit of information, like finding out Mystia runs a food stand. So many characters newer characters could use some expansion, like Sekibanki.

when I looked at the 2ch thread for this chapter, there was a lot of talk about this as well
the only reason I can even think of is so she hasn't done anything too bad to any of the other characters and therefore she can become a normal character at the end of the story instead of having to be killed for killing other characters
she just feels a bit like a plot device because here we are, like 30 chapters in, and the most we know about her is that she has some sort of grudge against the shrine and is going in order of incidents, and that she has a hobby of collecting curse items (and we didn't even learn that from the story, it was in the character sheet)
either we need more chapters from her perspective, or we need satori to sit everyone down and explain what the hell her goals are (which can't happen now because since satori's been possessed, she'll be in a coma for an unspecified amount of time)

When I first heard this manga was coming out I was really excited. I thought we getting a Wild and Horned Hermit style story where Satori starts a detective agency on the surface inspired by all the novels she reads to fund her massive collection of pets. A format where she solves a mystery every two or three chapters.
She and her two assistants taking cases from all different characters to find out who did this or that and she would call in members of the underground crew like Parsee, Yuugi, Yamame or Kisume to act as experts. Maybe have the whole thing as a catalyst to have the underground and above ground characters start to meet and find out they aren't so different.
Instead we are almost 30 chapters in and I still don't get the point of this story. Outside of a few moments of seeing some of my favorite characters interacting it has just been a roundabout with no exit.

Funny enough the latest two-part fairy books have been Detective Koishi and Kokoro solving a mystery for the three fairies... they need to have that guy make more official content. I am 100% sure he had a hand in writing that manga.

The wording on this implies that it's only unwinnable through the nature of how the spellcard system is played, as she has an UI-esque ability. Not only could you attempt outlasting it like the anon said (if doing this even tires her out). You could additionally affect the larger scale area around her such as with a large enough blast, or even hit her with an attack she would or could not perceive such as a mental one. Reimu has essentially setup a system of rules that best lends to her own abilities.
Though, to be honest, sorry for powerlevelfagging, diving into character abilities and how they interact on a larger scale is an 'tism of mine.

I don't think you could hit her with an attack she couldn't perceive, as the faries try this exact trick in one of their mangas.
Hiding a river from view to try to get Reimu to step into it on her daily walk, instead the fish fly out of the river to form a bridge for her, which she is completely unaware of. So attacking her from an entirely unknown angle seems to cause events to unfold in a way favorable towards her.

That or if the negative action done to her was done on either a massive instantaneous or minor long term scale in which it couldn't be subverted. I question it because we still have no idea what powers Mizuchi has being the supposed Jailbreak King. I'm not sure she would be trapped so easily even with the border being changed to trap her in the temple. Hatate's thoughtography was blocked either by her or Yukari creating a border around the temple. If it was Mizuchi who blocked Hatate she still has a lot more tricks up her sleeve. I thought Mizuchi would head straight towards the Mausoleum next being the next target of events and it being directly under the temple, it seemed wisest to take out both without having to return to the temple to try enter.

We're yet to see, but it doesn't seem to me that Flandre is the 100% psycho like her fanon self, in fact, it seems that she is taking her job pretty seriously. It was an actual good call to double down on fighting everyone, how could she know that none of them is Mizuchi?

This actually makes Flandre a more interesting character. Instead of an axe-crazy psycho she is more like a blood knight that loves to fight and get in trouble (kinda like Remilia in SSiB) but not actually murderous. Okina had to goad her VERY hard to use her eye ability thingy on Yuuma, who came knocking on her door on the next day.

I do hope she gets smacked or bailed out by Yukari tho, the Flandre shilling is getting annoying.

I just realized when it says "The Palanquin was sealed underground" the Myouren folks actually had been living somewhere in Former Hell instead of being trapped or literally sealed judging by how Rin and Chiyari seem friendly with Nazrin and how Mizuchi knows well of Myouren folks, or rather it's only the ship that was trapped and later released by the geyser.
I think that'd explain the confusion on how Mizuchi also know Shou despite how it's said that she wasn't sealed along with the Palanquin. The Myouren folks probably can just come and go from the underground as they please, Shou included.
It's confusing because I think most people believed that the Myouren folks were "asleep" or rendered immobile with the Palanquin.
