What do you call this hair .... uh ... design? They aren't pony tails because pony tails come out from the back of the head. They aren't pig tails because pig tails come in pairs.

I'm at a loss to describe them.

It is simply a side tail or side-ponytail.

When referring to REAL PEOPLE, no one really styles their hair like this (not NO one but pretty much) and most 'real' side tails are the kind you are describing. Ugly, droopy, long and shitty. But same thing, just they do it wrong in 3d.
