Here are the important people you're going to meet when you make it to Gensokyo

Rinnosuke:
He is the most important person you're going to meet
Due to his fascination with the outside world, your experience will be very important to him
You'll most likely end up working and living at his shop

Keine:
Another very important person
She is very protective of humans, and you would pretty much be a VIP
She's also the teacher in the human village, so she might be able to teach you how to use spellcards

Reimu:
You'll most likely meet her by working at Rinnosuke's shop, but she might seek you out otherwise because you managed to jump the border somehow
Don't expect much from her, although she may teach you how to use spellcards if you're lucky

Yukari:
She's probably the reason you made it to Gensokyo in the first place
Expect to do a lot of errands for her, and don't try to argue with her because she'll always win

Marisa:
She'll be fascinated in you
Avoid at all costs, because you know she'll bring you along on one of her expeditions and get you killed

Sanae:
Being from the outside world, she may feel close to you from the start
Other than that interest, however, she will not be a common sight, nor will she be of much importance unless her gods decide to take interest in you as well

Eirin:
Drugs, man

Expect a lot of photos and general annoyance whenever she's around

Mokou:
She'll help you out if you get lost in the bamboo forest or if you need to get to Eientei
Don't expect much out of her though, she's probably not going to be too interested in you

She'll make fun of you every now and then if you visit the Hakurei shrine.
Just ignore her

Yuyuko:
If you meet her, something went horribly wrong

Meiling:
Don't try to get into the Scarlet Devil mansion unless you're either mentally handicapped or want to meet Yuyuko

Nitori:
You can tell her all about your technology
That's about it, so don't expect to see her much

If you are just a normal mundane human in Gensokyo, shit sucks and you could be killed damn easily. That's why I have a master plan. All I'll need to do is meet Keine during a full moon when she is in her were form, and get her to bite me. Then I will become a were-hakutaku as well and get a power buff. Not to mention Keine will probably not be able to resist a male were-hakutaku, so hey easy loving. Sure I might get caved trying to get bit, but its worse than dying (well...in theory anyways.)

Now, remember that the spellcard system was put in place to give humans and youkai a fairly equal match.
Also remember that (most) youkai don't actually eat humans anymore

You've hopefully played enough shmups to copy some attacks from Mushihimesama and the like that a weak human would be able to control
