People always forget that the only reason why Marisa still breathing until this very day is because of the Spell Card rule, and that thing only first used in the Scarlet Mist incident when Marisa's already ran away from home. I imagine it went pretty poorly, becoming a magician means abandoning her humanity and becoming a demon, with Zun calling Vampires and Magicians similar to Devils. Not to mention the health risks Magicians face and the fact becoming a Youkai is punishable by death.

Its not just ZUN calling magicians demonic/devils. Even in real life magic is generally considered to be "dark" in nature, and its distinctly different from inherent (psychic/ESP) powers. I think Reimu might fall into the latter category.
Marisa expunging the three corpses/worms won't turn her into a youkai but fucking around with grimoires and shrooms probably will eventually. Even hanging around Patchouli is dangerous since she works around literal devils.
