But where could Tene have gotten the thermos from originally? How many sources for magic items are there in Gensokyo? Off the top of my head, there's the oni, the Miracle Mallet, Marisa's collection and Kourindou.

I was thinking you could do your letter with pictographs but I can't think of an image to convey "no sugar" without specifically having the word sugar on there. Thank you! And you're right about the backstory, I haven't thought that far ahead yet. I decided to name her Pemmy. Now, the big question: moon or earth bun? If she's a moon rabbit, then she has PTSD for sure and may be somewhat mentally ill. I definitely picture her as being very clumsy, like she's the type to trip over her own feet in the middle of a battle and narrowly avoid getting shot in the head because of it.

I would go with earth bun unless you feel strongly about wanting a moon bun. If you need a moon bun for a story there are 4 canonical ones available (Reisen, Seiran, Ringo, Reisen 2). Meanwhile Tewi is the only established earth rabbit and her personality might not gel with the narrative you want.

I've been considering your guys's input, and I decided on earth bun! I think if I was an RPer, then I might have chosen moon bun... but I don't RP, I only draw. And I love the idea of her being friends with Tewi, because that's my best friend's favorite 2hu and she holds a special place for me. I haven't designed her lower body yet; I was thinking of giving her floppy socks with bows or ribbons on them, and maybe a ribbon tied around her thigh as well.

dai is good for any magic role, but healer is indeed better.

Some stay underground, like Larva. Others can withstand the cold to a certain degree and still play during wintertime, like the Fairies of Light. Common fairies might die off during winter and only respawn during spring when nature is strong enough to bring them back. Some fairies take vacations in wintertime out of Gensokyo, as winter can be a bit less harsh in places like Old Hell or Makai.
