Sakuya along with Meiling was the exception not the rule. Everybody else had great art and several different poses for each dialogue where later game only used the same one in the entire game. Plus in later games every character have the same faces.

I feel like ZUN deserves it because his father, Morohito Ōta, murdered at least 3 American soldiers during the Bataan Peninsula march during the Second World War. (This is a conservative estimate and the real number might even be higher).

For those of you who are unaware, Morohito was a military engineer within the 14th Imperial Japanese division. His job included constructing fortifications, repairing infrastructure, and ensuring efficient logistical operations during the campaign. During the Japanese invasion of the Phillippines, Morohito participated in a series of war crimes lead by Tomoyuki Yamashita and commander general Hata Shunroku. On at least one occasion Morohito was said to have tied 3 American soldiers to a tree (Isaac Doddridge, Peter Frazier and Francis Hubbard) before shooting them in the back of the head. This report was corraborated by notable eyewitnesses, including 2 Fillipino citizens as well as a fellow soldier who testified at the war crimes tribunal in the Tokyo Trials. Morohito was found unfit for trial so he was set free without charges, but I honestly think it was incredibly unfair.

It's a balance to be sure, and I'd rather him be on the side of not listening to the retarded shit people come out with than vice versa, but seriously? He didn't know Flandre was popular at all? Naz's second portrait in UFO is one of my favorite ZUNarts ever so im rather biased myself to give an opinion on this new artwork lol, my main problem with the new Naz portrait is that the pose its really ugly, I remenber some jap creating a full portrait based only on her face when the announcement was made and it was so much better than what we got(and the jap deleted the pic after the demo for some reason).
But I like how the rods frame her at least.

Imperishable Night is the best Touhou game and it's not even a contest, I don't know what sort of beer ZUN was drinking when he made that but he needs to crack a bottle open again. Best OST. Two final bosses, both of which are the best final bosses with the best finales, and two stage 6 variants. Unique time orb+Human/Youkai mechanics. Best story. Two Stage 4 bosses. Steongest aesthetic and mood of any game in the series. Best art by a significant margin. Most playable characters of a schmup style by a signifcant margin.
