How are you tonight, /jp/? I'm not sure if this is the proper place to ask this, but it's semi-touhou related and you guys seem to know everything there is to know about touhou. If this isn't the proper place to ask this question, just direct me elsewhere and I'll try my luck there, but I figured I'd give you guys a try.

I'm looking for a particular sound file, specifically, the klaxon used when Okuu is preparing a spell card. (When the caution symbols seen in the image appear.)

I've done some googling and have managed to find OTHER klaxons, such as sub dive klaxons, and even a Star Trek warning klaxon... but nothing of Okuu's Klaxon. Any help at all would be appreciated, direct links, websites with information, etc. Thanks!

cant you just rip the sound from the game or a video?

i've attempted this, it generally results in a poor quality rip with music in the backround

Well, I'll take this anon's advice and go elsewhere, but it was worth a try!

I'm currently looking around to see how to rip the sound effects directly. Usually the extractors are for the BGM so it could be difficult.

This video has the sound you're looking for, among many many others:

There you go, it was fun finding out how to extract it.

Where'd you extract it from?

Using a tool called brightmoon, opened th11.dat
It showed up as se_alarm.wav towards the end of the .dat file.
I only took so long because I had to download SA again to get the file.

Panties are extremely optional underground.

thxxbgm extracts game music, if you wanted to know. Gooood program that. But Brightmoon doesn't seem to work correctly on PoFV, I have no idea why.
