Lucifer's shoulders heaved as she caught her breath. She had collapsed with her clothes in disarray, and it looked very much like the aftermath of something.

I can personally accept that everything she did in EP2 was to troll Battler, even letting him get torn apart by goats (since he was going to get torn apart anyway by the bomb or whatever anyways).

But killing him in the meta world was just overly excessive. Maybe Beato was still really angry at him for giving up in EP2, but it was still a very disturbing scene watching him being reconstructed from a bunch of bloody goop, even if he was acting very chipper about it.

In regards to the stuff with Bern and Lambda in EP6, here's one good example of Lambda's general role in the episode. This conversation happens when Battler is threatening to kick Bern out of the kakera and she's throwing a hissyfit and saying that she'll kill Erika if she has to leave.

"...I'd like to see your fight through to the very end, okay? ...But Battler's saying he'll banish me. Hey, what are you going to do, Lambda?!"

"Now, now. Bern, I know you've been irritated ever since the last game, but calm down. ...Battler, don't provoke Bern too much. Sometimes she just can't control her own emotions."

"Shut up... Who can't control their emotions...?!"

Bernkastel, who had once never shown any kind of facial expression, was now showing off an ugly face twisted with displeasure.

When Lambdadelta teased her about that, Bernkastel clicked her tongue and turned away.

Perhaps it was like controlling poison or something. ...It seemed as thought Lambdadelta was the only one who held Bernkastel's reins.

"...Erika, you want to make Bern pleased again by fighting Battler and redeeming your honor, right?"

"Y...Yes..."

"Battler, you want to prove that you reached the truth by perfectly finishing the 'final game,' right?"

"...That's right. This is a fight between me and Erika. It's not just a hindrance for me. I won't permit hindering Erika, either."

"...B...Battler..."

"If you two still have the will to fight, then that should be respected. ...Leave Bern to me. When she gets in a sour mood, I'm the only one in the world who can calm her down."

"Well, you've got to partition the screentime. After all, by now we've got more characters than a single school class. If you try to give everyone a big role, it'll just turn into a huuuge mess."

Just the sheer number of characters made writing the story difficult.
With Battler and Beato as the axis of the story, if there were just 1 to 2 other characters, it would make things much simpler, but...
"You say that, but what should I do? There are dozens of characters, you know?"
"You're a real dummy, you know? Trying using your head a little like Lambdadelta-chan-sama here, your he--a--d-- ...hey, ouch! I didn't say to hit me on the head, stupid!"
