I AGTH'd Dive1 and was pretty lost. Is that because AGTH is no good for such a sci-fi game or is it because everything will become clear in Dive2?

Install both games at start and start playing from dive2 exe (this way you can get all the dive2 weapons right away) rather than first ones, the dive1 routes are there. not 100% but if you play this way there might be a option for to go for first dive2 route or you might get the options for going any of the dive1 routes. Just check what decisions lead then to other routes in this case.

But the order of the routes is forced, but anyway the order is Rain -> Nanoha -> Chinatsu -> Aki -> Makoto -> Sora.

Depends on how you mean by "lost". In Dive 1, certainly there are lots of things happening and there is a lot of mystery. But if you are having problems understanding the dialogue, you probably need to learn some more Japanese.

AGTH is a tool to assist in your reading, but if you can't understand any Japanese it won't help much.

Well, I'm fine with basic dialogue but once the technical terms gets thrown in the assistance that AGTH would've offered goes near zero. I got by once in a while though since I can read Chinese but it's just not clear to me whether I was just lost or if things weren't answer.

Perhaps I'll change my question, does Dive2 explain pretty much everything like E17 or is it somewhat open like R11?

What happens in Rain's normal end? When I merged my DIVE1 with DIVE2 all my old save data just reloads to the start of the game, and I can't skip any text unless I read it with DIVE2.

Dive 2 does a good job of explaining all (or at least most) of the events that happen.

In Rain's normal end: Kou permanently mistakes Rain for Sora and gets stuck in his college mindset. They live together, happily? ever after.

The skipping text problem is just how Dive2 works, sucks but you can't do anything about it.

I don't think I tried loading a mid-way Dive1 save, though it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.

you were in middle of going trough Rain route from the start or are just trying to get the normal ending after you have cleared other routes? Because if you havent cleared the route yet, I'd probably just ctrl trough to point where you were last, the ending is worth seeing it for emotional impact rather than just reading about it.

Didn't they have few different artist? So thats why some of the CGs look so different in style at some place. As there was differently styled CGs in dive2, and there was some of that already in dive1, but dive2 was just bit more noticeable.

well, then it is so if tis stated so. It just feels bit weird that theres so much differences in quality in some CGs. but yeah, the dive2 CGs were bit worse, but its still nothing bad in my opinion, just weird.

I wish Giga would do proper0-world route with Sora being protagonist and with the all things that was said to happen +more, like "licking each others wounds". Would be nice to see how it all went.
