Murakawa was nowhere near as abrupt and she at least had a good run. Tanaka did Umaru and like one or two other major roles before almost entirely disappearing. I think she got a main role recently but other than that she didn't take off. Closest comparison would actually be Misawa I think (one big major role at the start of her career than barely much after).

I think he's referring to Youmiya Hina. Not sure if this is a fair comparison, but between her and Iwami Manaka, who's more likely to be the next "it" seiyuu? They both seem to be good based on what I've seen in Kokoro Yabai and Oshi no Ko.

Actually, I've been reading a bit on Oshi no Ko, and it looks like they chose Iwami over Rieri for Akane despite the latter wanting the role. I'm taking that as a sign.
On the other hand, Youmiya doesn't really have much on her resume, but that's probably due to starting much later. She did snag the FMC of Kokoro Yabai, so there's that.
