Era games are a group of (usually) Japanese-developed text porn games.
They're not exclusively related to the Touhou franchise, but it's one of the series with the most era games.

Run anchor.exe (or Emuera, depending on the game), japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav and dat folders to avoid any bugs.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there are guides currently in the TW folder (in #Translation) on what to do, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:
K: ERB/口上
TW: ERB\口上・メッセージ関連\個人口上

You can also report bugs or typos here on the thread when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits, the files are located within the 'resources' folder in webp format. You can use paint.net to edit them.

It's a lot like K except with 4000 characters, load times on every menu, some sort of autistic equipment system, and even more NTR than K normally has.

The only real content problem K has is the rape/netorare, most of which is off by default and the rest can be avoided by not exploring. If there's meaningful ryona content beyond the meme ability to beat up girls (also off by default) I've never encountered it. (Prisoner execution flavor text but that's a button you don't click anyway.) Never saw any scat either.

K's real issue is that it's balance sucks and the AI is braindead so it gets really boring after one playthrough, and mechanically it's pretty screwed at its core so it's hard to imagine there's a simple fix.

Well, it's autumn, which is banquet season, so that sounds like it's just an old-ass jap bug that was already fixed in our version, where characters can get stuck in banquet cleanup mode due to another upcoming banquet, which keeps them from performing their regular jobs until the next time they're involved in a banquet of their own, which could take a while.

Now I was just about 15 days into the game and there were a lot of updates and warnings thrown at me about resetting stuff and bugs and stuff. Would you suggest that I start over from day one or just reset a few things and keep going from day 15?
