Does Touhou ever discusses the implications of half-Youkai and Half-human beings? I know there’s Rinnosuke and Youmu, but any others? And what are their relationship with youkais?

Were-animals like Keine and Kagerou are considered half-youkai, but generally treated as human. PMiSS implies that there are known were-animals who live in the village and that they should just be treated nicely. Youmu's clan are just a ghost and a person combined with each half having half the normal traits of its type(e.g. human Youmu is a little cooler than a human while ghost Youmu is a little warmer than a ghost). Presumably Youmu is similar to Rinnosuke in terms of health and longevity, but being a half-ghost is probably a genetic(?) thing instead of requiring a ghost and a human parent. Rinnosuke, assuming he has one youkai parent, is the only known one who is a half-youkai because of that and not because of some condition that makes them a were-animal or some other such thing.

Personally, I would assume Rinnosuke types would generally live in the outside world since they don't need any sense of purpose like a youkai. If there are ones being made in Gensokyo, they probably have a youkai mom and live away from the human village and become full youkai eventually.
