OP is a shoop, i just played through FF8 recently and rinoa doesnt actually say anything while lying on the bed.

But there are some things in FF8 that made me rage :

-You cant go back to certain places once you leave them.

-Galbadia garden dissapears by disc 3 and nobody makes any mention of it(oh hey it just dissapeared where did it go dunno lawl)

-Esthar cant fucking shoot down lunatic pandora, nor do they try

-Card rules, so fucking difficult to change them

-GF compatability everytime your party changes

-Long ass summon sequences that you cannot skip

-Magic is weak ass. Meltdown + physical attacks = 9999 damage. No magic spell can equal that.

It's not a battle fortress anyway. It's a mobility unit for the Crystal Pillar. Attacking its exterior would not damage it in any meaningful way, unless they hoped to damage the mobile capabilities.

Summons seem to do less damage than physical attacks. Except eden which is a special case.

On the PC, i noticed that with summons like Ifrit/Shiva/Quetzatacol, there is no way you can max boost out to 250%....i have no idea how people on the console do it.

I had to restart the fucking game TWICE.

- hey GF attacks rock, let's just use those all the time OHSHI you killed Rinoa. Restart.

- okay now with physical attacks, works pretty fine so OHSHI can't put a dent in the final boss if you don't have ALL GFs and all spells maxed out, can't leave the final dungeon - restart again.

Cause sufficient damage to its glossier rings or whatever the flying thingamajig that keeps it going, and it'd crash into the ground. Or perhaps, the sea. Remember, the War of Gardens takes place very near the ocean.

It was commissioned by Sorceress Adel and created by the greatest doctor on the planet. It's "man-made shell" might be effectively ruddy undamageable (unless you crash your SPACESHIP into it).

I found the final fight incredibly easy. The only "hard" part was because ultimecia random picks your starting party members, half of whom dont have junctions at all, so you have to kill them off yourself.

I didnt even really spam limit breaks and the final form died.

After you walk out the front door, there are 6 glowy portals on the GIMUNDO chain. Hit X near them on the chain to jump to them. They lead to the world map. One of them has the Ragnarok just chillin' right there.

The game is piss easy once you gain access to mobile Balamb. All I did was hang around the edge of the continent across Cactuar island. Sure I had to grind for about an hour but after getting all skills for your GFs the rest of the game is a breeze.
I beat Omega Weapon in less than 10 minutes but I couldn't finish the Queen of Cards quest. Did anyone ever have the patience to finish it all the way?

I don't think I ever cast a single spell. Only hoarded them for junctioning. 20 minute battles of just drawing magic from a boss. Squall always finished first but everyone else drew like 1 at a time. FFFFFF-

I don't know if there are different versions of this game that have different difficulties, but I played one of the two different european versions (there are two with different translations) and the fight against ultimecia/ artemesia was still very, very hard with all characters fully junctioned and level 99 and shit. FFX can also be rendered near-unwinnable in the euro version if you miss some stuff early as it spams you with dark eons later on.

That's what fucks you. The game scales to level and grants stat bonuses by Junctioning, so a level 11 party can be just as strong as a level 90 but the enemies the former fight are way easier than the latter.

The scaling system fails later on...once you get 100 ultima and all the high level magics junctioned, your damage is going to max out at a certain point and leveling isnt going to do shit.

Try fighting iron giants at level 40 and at level 100. Level 100 takes a LOT longer since your damage doesnt scale anymore past level 40(+1 str per level doesnt do shit), and their hp increases massively.

I fought ultimecia at level 50-60 and it was a breeze. At level 99 hp is going to be too damn high.

the levels of bosses are fixed (afaik) unlike monsters which grow with your level. so grinding has no real purpose :P

FF8 is only playable if you don't understand its game system, leave everything on auto and just play it like you would play a normal RPG. After that it's still bogged down by the terrible plot and lame characters, but at least it doesn't make you rage.

If you're the type that likes to optimize your team, you'll give up on the game the moment you realize that the only real way to get stronger is to play that retarded card game.
