As far as youkai go meiling is decent enough, sukia and yuugi are are cool, patchy is merely autistic, all the faries are just childish, the inaba are herbivores and can socialize well enough, aunn is a good girl, well yeah the tengu are jerks, the grassroots trio are kind enough, Alice is a recluse but hospitable, the komejis are good people if you are respectful as are their pets, thats all off the top of my head but you get the picture

I did so too at the beginning but I started doing that at the end. I played it mostly for the Story either way, so it's wasn't that at much of a loss
