I've been listening to Vocaloid since 2011 but I just think it is funny. The games don't really count as her canon personality but it is the closest thing to her official personality. She has to be versatile because of all the songs people write.

There's literally a thread about Miku on /v/ every Monday and there is always a thread on /jp/ about vocaloid 24/7 all day every day.

Miku has been appearing in memes a lot lately and she even has lots of anime cameos recently. Although she is technically not a vocaloid anymore I don't feel like making another name for her so I'm just going to keep calling her a vocaloid.
