-A Type A Destroyer with the word "fast" in her name will receive her Kai-II in the event-end maintenance.
-The Spring 2022 Event, "Fierce Battle! R-Area Operation", is underway and scheduled to end on 7/13 at 11:00 JST. The Main Operation consists of 3 maps, and the Extra Operation "Bloody Battle! Bizarre Battle off Cape Bono", consists of 2 maps. There is Friend Fleets available in E-1P3, E-3P3, and E-5P4.
-The new ships are Japanese submarine I-201 (E-1/2 drop) and Kagerou-class destroyer Hayashio (E-3 reward), Kurahashi (E-4 drop), and BB-46, The Old Mary (E-5 reward).
-The new equipment is the Late Model Radar & Passive Radiolocator + Snorkel Equipment, Late Model Bow Torpedo Mount (4 Tubes), the legendary B-25 Mitchell land-based attack bomber, Ryuusei Kai (Skilled), Shiden Kai (343 Air Group) 701st Fighter Squadron, and 5inch Twin Gun Mount (Secondary Armament) Concentrated Deployment.
-The May ranking rewards have been distributed. The new equipment is the 38cm Quad Gun Mount Kai Deux and the Type 0 Recon Seaplane Model 11B Kai (Night Recon).
-Haruna will receive her Kai-IIB side remodel some time this year.
-The Summer 2022 Event will take place in Europe again.
-As of the Feb 28, 2020 maintenance, due to critical DDoS attacks, measures have been taken that requires players from certain countries to use a Japanese IP address to connect to the Login servers. After getting to the start screen it's possible to disconnect from the VPN and continue playing without it. If you still encounter connection issues try clearing your cache and changing your time zone to JST. These countermeasures will remain until further notice. EN EO now bypasses the block. Definitely the hardest boss to kill so far
Route to the boss isn't as tough as the previous events but goddamm trying to kill the boss outright is frustrating as hell. Took me 25runs for LD
Friend fleet is just too weak

B-25s are ok. They usually sink escort fleet ships, if they target them.

Usually get to turn back because Atlanta or Nisshin get shot on the surface nodes, and the rare occasion where Sushi gets chuuha so there's no point in continuing.

I would never drop Atlanta in a map like this, but you can try.
Still, she can shut down carriers which is a blessing when it happens.
Higher FP (777) is for en route survival, I aimed for around 85-90% boss reach rate and reached it.
Of course if you can do the same with less FP, that's great.

The air raids really weren't a problem, at most it'd be Z1 where an escort DD who already was chuuha got taiha'd.
Keep in mind I'm running 3 land bases to the boss to squeeze out as much damage as I can so I'd retreat at W fairly often or continue with 1 chuuha.
But what I'm doing clearly doesn't work so I'll try bringing Atlanta tomorrow, swap in Ryuuhou and change Mogamis setup, maybe to something like pic related.
I'd love to try going for AP preboss to give Ryuuhou an attack loadout, but I only have enough resources for ~5 runs before I have to drop to medium, I'd rather try Atlanta.
Ideally I'd love to see touch hitting the flagship once before I drop difficulty, I hope Tanaka will be in good spirits tomorrow

One of the worst events in recent history, everything up to E5 LD was piss easy and then you can have the perfect meta fleet and still get fucked over and over because you didn't pass the luck check. And the friends fleets being absolute dogshit is the cherry on the top. Should've made the previous maps harder and E5 less of a shitshow.

Bringing this after managing to clear on 甲 today. That was fucking rough, I was burning through 9 years of Mamiya and damecon and down 200k fuel by the end. We didn't even get Shizumetal as compensation. I'm probably retiring from 甲 attempts after this (barring easy events like last Fall).

I beat it on the second try it was just annoying to fail against such an easy boss. I don't have hotel so there was no real way to kill the meatshield during the day. yahagi literally never cut in once, kasumi cut in but left the boss at 10 hp, and beaver targeted battleship princess instead of the boss.

Echelon at boss means Souya kills the sub, CV airstrike kills at least one small fry, Yamatouch kills 3 of what's left, and the survivor can be disposed at leisure.

Easy wont be any faster than medium, its just pure sortie and regearing time. It takes up to 15m per sortie and each bar takes a minimum of 6 sorties to deplete, plus gearing and fleet composition time means at least 2 hours per bar.

The amount of resources required to clear all hard has ballooned to ridiculous proportions and resource income has not increased basically at all in the past like 8 years.

Going to try the Souya fuel farming thing soon once I find enough armor fodder. But even at 1k fuel/hour that's 100 hours between events to generate 100k fuel... going to need a lot of anime to watch on the side.

All Saiuns can prevent Red T, right? I'm a bit surprised that I still got a red T on an air node despite using the 4th Recon Saiun, but I'm guessing since there's no Day Battle section in air nodes it never progresses to checking if you have Saiun or not.

Im very tempted to try that because my setup burns 500 fuel and ammo per run. Also, kusomin with just the amphibious tank and a toku daihatsu deals far more damage than expected. I cant seem to get my hands on the MGs needed to upgrade the daihatsu to t89.

Well, what meme equipment do you have?
For me I'm settling at 4 sets of T89/tank/WG. You can then mix and match with that.
Of course you should also go grab all the quest ones you can like the Souboutei AB. I also got one of those Armed Daihatsus because why the fuck not.
As for event ones I've gotten them all I think. Not sure how useful they are though, I think I've only made use of the M4A1 and those Daihatsus with 11th tank and the one with the gun thing.

So looking at the bonuses, you'll probably want 4 tanks, 6-8 T89s but get 4 of them first, and as many rockets as you can get, it's limited anyway but very useful.
