Starting to think it would be wise to get an extra bluemu for 5sp farming. I thought it was completely unnecessary before, but the 3 week event change with extra fortune dust makes grinding to max points or near that necessary if you want to get all of it + the music. And with all these new dolls fortune dust is VERY important. Add to that EX events, VS events, and standard story card farming and spirit points are a bit tight now.
..Then again, once you get enough cards you can ignore the stages going forward, so it's not like you'll be hemorrhaging spirit points forever. idk if it's overkill or worth

As someone who is autistic about SP, you just need creativity and time. For example, 5 sp Nazrin can farm Route B-2 in this event over several turns. Not fast at all, but it'll get you there. I'd suggest keeping one 5 sp copy of any strong general pool friend with elemental regular shots and good elements on their spellcards.

Yeah, the "blood" on her nurse outfits is randomly assorted colors. Funnily enough though, there does seem to be blood in her full portrait although it is pretty missable.
Otherwise the stains on Seiran's mallet looks the most like blood, I know they're supposedly mochi stains but that shade of red makes the mind immediately associate it with such.

It’s strange, I never really thought of the game as aiming for a young audience; even if the characters are nicer, the writing is still pretty complex (at least, the themes/concepts they try to explore) and most younger players will miss the Japanese terminology often thrown around. Touhou isn’t really ‘adult’ in the same way, say, something like Grand Theft Auto is, but there’s a certain maturity to it that I feel should at least lend itself to showing some blood, especially when it characterises Remi.

I had to buff her up to 12SP for the extra P on her solo SCs because I couldn't make my Star EX setup work consistently without it.
I think it also makes it so her AoE SCs have 2 guaranteed paralysis breaks on top of their element coverage.
If you have the Star EX Byakuren cards then you can probably be just fine without awakening her.

In Marisa EX they give themselves 2 burn and 2 freeze anomalies each turn. Alice can break burn @ 3P with her All spellcard and she has 2 wood on it, making it pretty ideal with Yukari's own burn support.

idk she's pretty unique here. Her really cheap 1P burn break combos with her skill; letting her solo spellcard break 5 barriers. And her LW hits like a truck, breaks freeze, and has wood in it.

In both cases my first thought would be to take advantage of the anomalies. MoF Kanako is similar to Alice but cheaper- at 2P her All spellcard hits 2 wood and breaks freeze. As >>40417477 stated UFO Byakuren is a good option. Her burn infliction is better than PCB Yukari's but her burn break is a bit awkward- 2P on her focus shot. And of course there's little Junko who would combo well with any anomaly inflictors. With UFO Byakuren Junko could break 5 barriers (6 off the target) in one go with her All spellcard. Keiki is another excellent option. Her all spellcard breaks poison and burn, so @ 3P she can hit 5 barriers with each use. And btw you don't need to hit effective damage with a LW to blow them up. So while her self-atk buffing is bad she has easy access to long durations so she can use spellcards to do it.

In terms of anomaly breaks she has paralysis and burn. Spread shot has para @ 1P, focus burn @ 2P, solo spellcard breaks para @ 1P and burn @ 2P. No word on her LW just yet.

Def pic related. When I got her she was by far the strongest unit I had and carried me hard. ~10 months later she’s been overshadowed in terms of damage, but her breaks remain extraordinary. Her metal/wood/fire spread is very unique and combined with her anomaly breaks makes her consistently useful in tower and arena.

I've been playing the jap version since day 1 and it is kinda difficult to say who was the overall best character in all that time. It might actually be Young Reimu. Many of the really old characters have completely fallen off the radar, like Toyohime, Youmu, Yuuka and even Medicine sees less use when everyone is spamming status effects. Reimu is still seeing use and she can even grind multiple story card stages. If things continue the way they are now, Castlevania Flan might also be a solid contender because she is still extremely good in all content. I have a full power Blue Reimu who is easily the best character currently in the game but she is still pretty new while someone like EoSD Reimu has been around for quite a while now.

Best bang-for-my-buck unit is far and away Red Marisa. Global running her early means I've spent an obscenely long time with her. She is my go-to "level up help" character and farmer because of her all spellcards. Red Mari is great on both 3 wave and 1 wave stages which means she can solo pretty much every trash mob and 1 wave boss that isn't a major chapter end boss. Even then I still am using her in the most recent story and event content. Easily my most used unit in the entire game, basically carried me most of the way up to this point and is still extremely useful.

I feel that MoF Kanako is slept on a bit. Her All-target card in particular is good. Breaks Cheapest All spellcard freeze break in the game @ 1P with full elements, her solo card lets her break 3 metal for 2P and 4 for 4P, and her LW having 4 metal makes her one of the best metal breakers in global right now. Her burst crit support is also strong; giving everyone +5 crit overall is kinda nutty for a fes unit.
