while I think the wave system shaved half a year off my life I can't deny it was effective in that I managed to get 2 fumo after 3 nonstop hours of attempts compared to the grand total of 0 from the last two times there was a sale.

United the family and got my rabbit wife. Now to get Junko in the winter reitsaisai.

For the first two hours it was nothing but ball crush after ball crush on that orange button, and then my friend started getting all of them while I was left with nothing. Then they came in a landslide after I tried hard enough. It really was 4 hours of non-stop refreshing. By the end, I was addicted to the rush of getting one added to the cart and trying for more, and got a few close calls but no dice. I hated it at first, but I can't argue with results. It's kind of fun in a weird way once you get your unicorn.

I've been recommending mint to people coming from windows long before 2016. Cinnamon is a more familiar experience for most users. I would agree with you in just using stock debian, but ubuntu based distros have ppas, more people using it, and other small newfag friendly things that make it easier to use for someone just starting out. Don't worry anon, something I forgot to say is that sometimes the guy also lists genuine fumos, you can usually notice cause he shows the butt tag in one of the pictures. Also, not every fumo has a bootleg version made of them, only the most popular ones. This aliexpress listing has pretty much all of them, if you buy a fumo which isn't among these you can rest safe.

See link above for a real pic of her. Final quality may vary, but they're pretty good to the untrained eye. (After spending a few weeks on training my eye I've realized it's both a blessing and a curse.)
According to some anon's review from a few threads ago they're quite soft, although not as much as the genuine ones, and they're hard to keep in a sitting position. Good for the price if you're willing to compromise.

Yeah thanks for the further information. After reading your warning what set me off is I noticed he used the same Ran picture for multiple listings. The first I tried to get sold out before I could buy it. But they both used the same pictures. I think it really depends on preference. From my experience, the bootlegs I've gotten have been very good, and without having seen a real fumo in person, it didn't bother me. However, there certainly is an air of quality you'll only get in actual fumos, but it's ultimately up to how much you're willing to spend on them and how much effort you want to put in to get them. Once I realized how much I enjoyed my bootlegs, I later got the real fumo of those characters as well as many others, but as everyone here knows that's no easy feat.

that's more of a gamble between bootleg brands, many bootlegs are of very close quality to the first party fumos in every other fashion
the stitch quality is ALWAYS worse on the bootlegs and the jaw is where it stands out the most because the whole point of the stitch being in that place instead of the back of the head is to accent a jawline, which looks fucking horrible if you do a low effort stitch

it's a deliberate design element that should only be copied onto the bootlegs if they intend to do it to the full degree, but bootleggers only know how to copy 1:1

What's everyone's opinion on the switch to AmiAmi? I didn't like them after their first sale, but their waves do make it easier to get fumos if you're devoted. They seem to be making a lot of new ones, too. The big downfall for me is that both me and my roommate buy fumos, and we have to decide who can have which character due to the limit. But it does make them take longer to sell out.

Yeah that's the problem there. I've got 3 people total who need fumos so we really have to pick and choose when, at Gift, we could just get everything we wanted.
I also never missed getting any fumos from Gift but now I have to sit there all night to get 1/3 of what's available. It's such a pain.
