Because that's how it is. Pretty much GSR is the only one who promotes such style and it doesn't fit the image of her from the rest of the media. At this point it's so far off they should just go with OC like Calne Ca, but they won't because they just use her for cheap advertising while contributing nothing back. Also Miku does wear more erotic clothes that fit her, but there is huge difference between something like Ambivalence module and whatever GSR comes up with next year.
You should be aware of that, unless you are some secondary that got into Vocaloid because of porn or something.

The appeal of Vocaloid is not that they're singers or idols or whatever, is that anyone can make them sing whatever they like, and that they're a blank slate so each person can characterize them however they like.

So the only way to retain that appeal would be to basically remain the same as today, anyone can buy them and idk they come out of your PC as a hologram or something, whatever sci-fi thing works. It'd be a bit disheartening because vocaloids magically turning into real people would make it a lot easier for Crypton, Internet Co. etc. to restore order. I'd imagine P's would still write music for them but the companies would act as a sort of "gatekeeper".

I'd continue listening if the vocaloids being magically turned into people didn't magically also erase all their previous songs. Honestly this would make the cryptonloid fandom eat shit as it would make Magical Mirai and hologram concerts a lot harder but Gumi would probably quit and go work for another much more competent company. Most of the smaller 'loids would lose out a lot too. 'loids that get used in Let's Plays a lot (like Kiritan, Yukari, Maki etc.) might end up full-time live streamers.

Make them all like Rei Toei. They would be databases/AIs that manifest as your very personalized idol. That would still allow them to be singular beings even though everyone perceives them differently and their scene is way more rich and diverse than any single person could archive.

Yeah, fair enough. You'll need to invest some money if you wanted to get into vinyl/LP records, though you can start with less than 300 bucks with AT-LP60 and a cheap bookshelf speaker if it's solely for your own listening purpose.
For recording to digital, the simplest way is by purchasing a turntable like Sony PS-HX500 that lets you convert them easily to digital. But you'll still need some stuffs like a better cartridge for your turntable, a proper phono stage to ensure better audio quality, and a proper audio editing software like Adobe Audition, Wavelab, or at the very least Audacity in order to remove clicking/other noises and split the audio. Some of those serious rippers will even tell you to get proper damping for your turntable.
Anyway, you can always find a tutorial or two about ripping vinyl records on some of those music private trackers if you're ever interested with ripping vinyl.

Yeah, this is exactly why I recommend LP-60/LP-60X for those who are new into this hobby. You can easily find those parts like belt and sorts on eBay. The sound is decent, it's automatic too and you can also change it's stylus. Not much to complain on that price range.

today i've lost someone very important to me whom may be pic related.
i've been posting here off and on for many years i do not feel much like a director of this thread but i might feel like i could input some feelings towards how this thread should be conducted.

all of you can be very nice people to talk to. i like to listen to the varying interests of music of the vocaloid community. it's the reason i keep coming back here. i believe we should foster this livelihood and continue being friendly to one another to keep this community together and alive.

as for those who are fighting, please have some consideration for each others feelings and change your posting style to what's deemed appropriate for all posters. if it's alright with you, i would suggest you may want to stop posting for a while to consider such feelings for the remote anonymous to consider their feelings. some topics have been objected towards for a long time and i don't want to see it go on any longer. i could suggest that you should think of it as talking to your own family. considering this if the post even feels somewhat awkward, then you should discard and do not post it.

if you feel a post is not appropriate, please do your part to completely ignore it. responding only creates unnecessary shame towards our community.
