Hey /jp/,

It's Christmas time again, and this year I got the idea to treat myself to a handful of eroge from J-List. Seeing as how they are offering a 15% discount if you buy a certain amount of games, I'm buying four to take advantage of that discount.

However, I am concerned about something. I like to have solid copies of the games that I buy, since I'm a collector, so I selected the "shrinkwrapped cd/dvd-rom" option for all of the games that I've picked out so far. What exactly does that mean? Do the games come in their original boxes, or do they literally just mail you a shrinkwrapped cd? I would prefer to know this beforehand.

Also: This is also my first time buying eroge. Could I get some recommendations that J-list sells? Right now I've got Snow Sakura, Brave Soul, Princess Waltz, and Yume Miru Kusuri on my list. Are these titles any good? I've read reviews and they're all generally positive but I would like /jp/'s opinion before I make a purchase.

TL;DR: Does J-List's "shrinkwrapped cd" option literally mean that they send me a shrinkwrapped cd with no box? Or does it come with the original box? Also, are Snow Sakura, Brave Soul, Princess Waltz, and Yume Miru Kusuri any good or should I pick out different games off the site?

Not OP, but I always thought they where sold in those huge boxes. I guess I know now.

Is Family Project not on J-List? That would be the better choice over Snow Sakura or Brave Soul.

I didn't think any of it was censored. Which of the games are?

Depends really. Some will ship in strictly a CD case, other's will be in a carboard box about 3-4x as thick and about 2x LxW.

Family Project, and another game that was coming out I think.

Do not buy anything from J-List. They prey upon unsuspecting nerds by selling either inferior or overpriced products. They also sell bootlegged/CafePressed clothing and stale candy.

All of those games are available via torrent; I suggest simply downloading them if you wish to play them.

Family Project has two censored CG's in some loli route.

I think Family Project would be the only one. There's a scene with the loli character that's edited.

I'd replace Brave Soul out of those four if you replace any at all.
And none of the others are censored.

>> No.3950324

>>3950302
To my knowledge the only game that has been censored so far is Family Project. No need to worry OP.

>> No.3950339

Well /jp/ is probably not the best place to ask about that shrinkwrapped option thingie, but I believe you should get boxes and everything, don't worry.

As for what I liked enough that I'd consider buying (=/= recommendation, that's just what I rather enjoyed):
Preordering the two nitro+ games (have no clue if that offer includes it), Yume Miru Kusuri, Princess Waltz, Brave Soul, Critical Point, Bible Black, Kana - My Little Sister, Family Project, Crescendo and maybe Private Nurse (if you don't mind that it's a rather slow game).
How many games you have to get for that discount thing?

>> No.3950413

>>3950339

It's a four-game minimum order for the discount, and all games over the minimum are also discounted. So if I were to get eight games they'd all get the 15% discount.

Supposedly you also get a "Hirameki game" free for every two games you buy, but I've yet to confirm this.

I had actually looked into Critical Point earlier, but I couldn't find many reviews on it. Is it any good? It's cheap enough that I'd be willing to add it to my list without replacing anything.

>>3950315
>>3950317

Is there any way to uncensor that shit? I love me some loli, and the game looks good enough that I don't want to pass it up.

As I said I rather enjoyed it myself. I expected just a normal fapping game, but it had entertaining endings actually. That ending where the blue headed android hacked the protag via his robotic arm, and made him his eternal slave while she's about to go on world domination still creeps me out.
I'm a huge scifi geek, and probably that's also why I enjoyed it, but it's by no means on the same level with Kana for example.

If you want about five games then I'd go with like
Kana, YMK, Kazokei, Princess Waltz, Crescendo or Bible Black (depending what you want, which you like more). And if I'd still have cash left, would consider a few the remaining ones I mentioned.

Also when did they stop selling Divi-Dead?

>It's a four-game minimum order for the discount, and all games over the minimum are also discounted. So if I were to get eight games they'd all get the 15% discount.
If so, perhaps you should consider pre-ordering the N+ titles. There's a chance they may be censored, I believe since there are ex-fantranslators working on it, you will be able to find out sooner if so. Also, they'll probably allow you to return it as they did with Family Project.
>Supposedly you also get a "Hirameki game" free for every two games you buy, but I've yet to confirm this.
If so, get Ever 17 for sure. Anima Mundi was pretty decent too if they have that, though it's a bit more oriented towards a female audience. Phantom of Inferno and Hourglass of Summer are also good games, though you gotta to forgive the DVDplay format.

>> No.3950615

>>3950558
Yeah, I enjoyed it more than not as well, especially how the plot changed quite a from your choices. It was almost as if the game reshaped the persistent reality depending on them.

Not in english though.
Hell, depending on which version you're playing it may be on the English disc.
I've always wondered if it would be possible to hack the game and re-insert that content that was cut.

>> No.3950671

>>3950627
It's quite disappointing to be honest. After EVE, Desire I expected a LOT more from the writer.
From what I've heard the original japanese (and its Alternative release) is a lot better since you have control over what you do, but the way it was presented was just silly. I'd rate the trilogy like 60-65/100. It had a sort of interesting story at least, and I was entertained by the first and the second series a bit. The third one isn't really interesting (or maybe I just disliked the female protagonist too much don't know). The climax of the series was nice though, but still nowhere as great as the aforementioned works.

Jast is having a buy 2 get Snow Sakura for free deal. Just in case you want to get more along with snow sakura, I rather enjoyed it quite a bit. Saki is my waifu

No, not censored, but D.O released a version with extra content in the middle of G Collections releasing the initial version of Crescendo.
As it was released only a few months before G Collections released theirs, I'm assuming they were already done with translating and such and said "fuck it" and released the initial version.
