if I remember correctly, he was under the guidance of Marisa’s father for some time before he moved out due to him feeling that his ability can get better use and started Kourindou. In CoLA, his time there is rarely ever mentioned, but I don’t think it’s because he didn’t have much interactions with them. Even then, there is a lack of information on what he was like during his time in the village, so I don’t think this can be used as an argument

I think he’s about 150~170 ish, given the point above, and his naivety about a lot of stuff in this case might just be a result of his silent demeanor, being generally uninformed about the items that lies inside his shop, and Zun being Zun.

Simply put, Rinnosuke doesn't seem worldly, knowledgeable, or mature, so to peg him as "old" would be odd (compare him to the 100+ year olds in the series, and all of them are pretty knowledgeable or possessing of wisdom--yes even Flandre, and sure Rinnosuke is "knowledgeable", but half of his "knowledge" is BS and the other half is common Gensokyoan history). Rather a limited experience with the outside world and a much more significant experience with Gensokyo/Marisa's dad would mean he'd probably not be very old. Far as I know he's not as old as The Barrier (a bit over 100 years old), but that's just guessing based on his seeming lack of awareness about the barrier itself/no explicit mention of seeing the barrier or living before it or anything. Furthermore one reason he left the side of humans was that they were noticing his lack of aging that made them uncomfortable. You could pull that off for a few decades, but more than a hundred and everyone would go "what the fuck, it's an immortal". He does give the impression in CoLA chapter 20 that he may have moved more than once, but it's vague. It IS clear that Marisa's dad was a huge influence on him, which IMO is another indication of immaturity.
Basically in my view a lot points to Rinnosuke being in his 50s or 60s. At the least he's too old to know about video games but is old enough to understand a decent amount of technology and THINK that he's an expert on the outside world, which rapidly advanced in the 20th century (which would be the answer to "why was he surprised to return in the early 2000s).
