I gave your config a shot and ended up with the same issue.
I'm loading the first "memory 1" hdi into IDE #1 and the second into #2. I'm trying to launch using "NO-TA-MA.EXE", which just shows the Mink logo and "int trap error" and then nothing happens. If I launch TD2.BAT, then start the exe, I get the same result without the error showing. I can get the janken mini-game to work, but not the main game.

It requires disk. Of course there is no way AlphaROM itself will work on Wine.
Your best bet is trying AlphaROMdiE: https://azure.kdays.cn/onekeyunlock/
But it's a rather peculiar program so it might not work on Wine. There are some reports on the net that version from 2012 worked on Wine unlike 2014 but it probably will require a lot of trial and error.

You can match the Big 3 guards onto the SS fairly well, with Rei = Sofurin and Ikuko = Julia. Tohka does not map on to Yugao in any way besides being leaders, though. Also, Nukitashi tried very hard to make the SS deeply sympathetic antagonists in the first game, and Sofurin is definitely extremely sympathetic and arguably the deuteragonist of the game (getting more attention, screentime, and sections from her POV than the main heroines), but Julia's fucking bonkers and Yugao's flat-out evil. I mean, this is the devs that turned Teshima into a tsundere "i-it's not like I wanted to save you or anything baka" so maybe they'll be redeemed in the true route, but for now Julia/Yugao are way, way, way worse than anything the SS ever did.

I think it's easy to sit back and call things trivial while not understanding them yourself. There's a pattern I've seen my whole life where I or someone else have a revelation, and other people pretend they already knew it and that it was obvious and anyone who didn't know it already was basically ignorant and stupid, even when they themselves didn't understand it. Human beings aren't born with universal knowledge of life, we're born as mostly blank slates and we have to crawl our way up from the mud. There are deep truths about lives that many can go their whole lives without realizing, even when they seem so obvious when stated and presented.
For this reason it's all a matter of having a humble mindset. If you recognize like Socrates that you know nothing, you can be better equipped to appreciate the wisdom presented to you. Henpri is about the line between pornography and art, and 18+ artistic self-expression clashing with disdain for pornography and the rules and laws around it. Complete with lots of meta-commentary about trying to make 18+ artistic adult VNs that include explicit themes and scenes and getting told to cut them even though they're essential to what you're trying to say with the work.The prison is a prison, but it's also a metaphor for society (like basically every other story set in prison). For fuck's sake, the guard who controls his life and he has to get approval from about everything is literally named Sofurin. It might actually be less subtle than Nukitashi, and that had a 10 minute sequence of Fooms staring at the camera and going "this is the message of the game do you understand yet" during the final battle.

Henpri didn't change my world view, it just gave me language to express some things, and some insights into how human behavior.
My world view is largely the same. And of course I am no strangers to books. Henpri reminds me the most of Dostoevsky's writings.
As always I must question why supposed VN fans hate them so much and consider them inferior to books.
Then again, I feel like in this electronic society, people kind of opt to thinking of books as some kind of status symbol since they themselves have abandoned books and only view them as like peak intellectualism that's above everything else. If you actually read books you'll find they're nothing so transcendental. (Philosophical treatises aside. I'm thinking about fiction here. Naturally a hardcore 300 page philosophy essay will contain more wisdom than your average VN.)

Finished Hentai Prison. It's pretty good and while it’s probably not something you want to read if you’re faint of heart (or suicidal), it’ll deliver one of the most entertaining, fucked-up, and eye-opening stories you’ll ever experience.

I personally separate my life to pre-Henpri and post-Henpri periods, as reading it has completely changed how I view the world. It taught me to appreciate life much more (or rather in a different way) than I used to and also be more honest with myself. It may have a similar effect on you, or it may do nothing if it’s not your kind of thing, but one thing is clear — you’ve got to read it even if it’s the last thing you do.

My life has been an ongoing quest to discover life-changing works of fiction, and despite having gone through thousands of books, movies, games and the like, I have yet to find anything to even rival Hentai Prison. I’m honestly getting goosebumps just remembering it.

Anyway, I realize my review is super vague, but I seriously can’t touch on any of the subject matter without potentially ruining your experience with the game, so check it out for yourself… especially if you enjoy shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion or Serial Experiments Lain.

All I can say is that it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced.

If you think about it logically, the genderbent heroine is actually the straightest choice.
