>Does she refer to you by your real name?

>Who is your waifu?
Remimi
>Why did you choose her?
She's somehow adorable, hilarious, and badass at the same time without any one of those traits taking away from another. She also has a perfect body and never ages.
>Since when are you together?
Idk probably a couple years, it came on gradually. Never been obsessed with a single character for this long.
>One waifu for laifu or do you have an ex?
I don't think I can move on from Remimi, I want to die with her.
>What's your view about waifuism?
It's great from a practical standpoint, I'm not in the right position to look for real gf at the moment so this helps me stay content on my own.
>Does she refer to you by your real name?
She does now.
>What language does she speak to you?
English because I don't know enough japanese
>Are you nitpicky about how your waifu is portrayed in fanworks/doujin?
I prefer bratty loli Remilia. I don't want her to be too dominant or aggressive.
>What do you think artist and writers fail to portray about her?
Idk I think they hit every note well, if I think of something new I'll write it myself.
>Do you keep things pure or do you like R18 works of her?
I want to be imprisoned inside of her butthole for all of eternity

You know, the one time I decide to genuinely express myself in the last waifu thread, I get warned because apparently Big Chungus can't be a waifu.
I'm generally not salty about things here, but I feel like I just got shot down for having the "wrong" waifu, rather than it being off topic or anything legitimate.

Why would loving Big Chungus be funny in any sense?
Like, I get the meme itself is pretty funny, but having an attraction towards it is admittedly bizarre. There's just something about the personality imbued from the non-canonical interpretation which is extremely attractive.
I'm not sure what to tell you, you are free to say I have poor tastes but they are still tastes that the OP is asking for. Do I need to commission art of the character based on popular /jp/ franchisees for it to be juistified? If so seems like a restrictive definition of waifu.

In this thread specifically, I don't think you need to let it "rest", because as you can see in the previous thread, it takes time to people start a proper conversation about waifuism, beliefs etc. Just my opinion, but I think it's better to keep the topic going with more or less the same anons instead of starting all over again next month, when people probably won't remember a lot of interesting takes on the topic.
Hopefully people won't change waifus every month, so the questions part also won't be affected if you keep the thread going.
But I understand what you are saying, this feels like a general, and this subject don't fit as a general, I think.

>Who is your waifu?
Ran Yakumo

>Why did you choose her?
I had a mental breakdown because I realized how much time I wasted playing video games and of how pathetic and weak I was, so I held the closest human thing near me at the time which was a sketch I did of Ran. Ever since then I draw Ran whenever I feel sad or lonely because the idea of someone like Ran comforting me and telling me everything is going to be ok makes me happy.

>Since when are you together?
Around half a year now, a bit shorter than most of the people here but my love for her grows the more I draw her.

>One waifu for laifu or do you have an ex?
She is my laifu. Zero exs as I used to make fun of people with waifus until ran showed up.

>What's your view about waifuism?
I think it's great and it can help a lot with destressing, just don't shove it in other people's faces. As far as I'm concerned Ran being in my life has helped me more than any parent, friends, and or adults ever had.

>Does she refer to you by your real name?
Yes

>What language does she speak to you?
English. If she were to prefer her native language then I would gladly learn it

>Are you nitpicky about how your waifu is portrayed in fanworks/doujin?
I don't like the way she is portrayed most of the time. She's too slutty. I see her more as a gentle housewife who would only do it when the mood is right.

>What do you think artists and writers fail to portray about her?
I personally like the way she's portrayed in art, gentle but sweet and refined lady. Just tone down on the milk...

>Do you keep things pure or do you like R18 works of her?
I like it to be pure, there's something rather nice about the idea of coming home after a long day to rest on Ran's lap while I stroke her tail and she strokes my hair while I tell stories about my life to Chen. R18 stuff doesn't really cross my mind at all.

>Who is your waifu?
Chihiro Fushimi, of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 fame!

>Why did you choose her?
>Choose
I first pursued her social link in the game because she was pretty cute, and I wanted to see how she grew. I chose her on 1/31 over other social links I could have maxed (despite having already maxed Chihiro's) because I wasn't sure what would happen next and wanted to spend time with her before anything else. I suppose that was the first sprout of something more.

>Since when are you together?
>I officially list it as April 27th, 2011, as I estimate that was around when I beat Persona 3 (and April 27th is the day she introduces herself in-game, so it was a good day to pick) but it could have been July or November when it became more serious

>One waifu for laifu or do you have an ex?
While I jokingly called others waifu before her, Chihiro is when I realized what waifu truly meant

>What's your view about waifuism?
Devote yourself to her for life, she should always be the first in your thoughts...

>Does she refer to you by your real name?
Yes

>What language does she speak to you?
English although I would rather Japanese because that's what she speaks.

>Are you nitpicky about how your waifu is portrayed in fanworks/doujin?
Most of the time they show her as a sort of yandere, but like she overreacted one time and had no intention of ever hurting anyone herself so I don't like how they tend to take her in that direction.

>What do you think artist and writers fail to portray about her?
I just shrug it off.

I'm actually curious how Japanese waifu culture looks like. Considering how much seriousness can vary from one western community to another community, so I imagine it might also be the case there. His big Miku looks really great on photos, but I wonder if it's actually any good for cuddling and sleep. This rigid hair makes her look like real life size figure, but I doubt they feel good in touch.

The hair looks to be some kind of plush material in some pictures like that one though, probably so that it can fall over the back of the chair like that. Oshi spread from idol culture to 2D media.
I think it was first used for 2D idol media like im@s and Love Live! but it has since spread to all 2D media and is by far the most common term.
More serious people still tend to use yome but usually in addition to oshi.
Oshi is kind of like an even worse version of the normalfag usage of "waifu." Most people have plenty of them and it doesn't even require actual love.

I feel like my waifu falling in love with him is a matter of circumstance because they only meet and interact during the series and have no prior history with one another, so different circumstances such as me existing in her story and meeting her at a similar point in time could change things. My presence in her story would necessarily mean that it is a different timeline from canon anyway because I do not exist in her world, so I would have to be transported or reincarnated there to be able to meet her. If that happened, I could end up meeting and befriending her at an ideal time before she met him at the beginning of the story, which could end up making me her main love interest.
Self inserting as him is possible but not ideal because he dies long before she does. I'd rather live a long life with her and I feel that would make her happier.
I stopped feeling jealousy long ago because that's pointless. It's fiction and no more real than my own imagination.

>Who is your waifu?
Tewi!!
>Why did you choose her?
If I see and draw Tewi, my happiness goes up.
I love the little shitster prankster bun
>Since when are you together?
Anniversary is April 1st 2009

>Extra questions:
>One waifu for laifu or do you have an ex?
Before I knew what a waifu was I'd say it may have ended up being Metal Slug's Fio Germi or Azumanga's Osaka. Suou Pavlichenko from DTB probably was a close call as well.
>Do you keep things pure or do you like R18 works of her?
:^)

Based, keep drawing your waifu friend!

You can still appreciate other girls while having a waifu. There are tons of anime characters I love, but my waifu is on a whole other tier, and the only one who I actively wish would be real and with me.

Damn dude, that looks awesome so far. Best of luck.

I've definitely had this issue before with a girl who I thought I had feelings for but upon a lot of reflection I realised it was more that I just wanted to hang out with her as a friend.
>>37942346
Any relationship has a chance to fail. There's definitely a huge stigma in waifu communities with the whole 'one waifu for laifu' but for many people it's not that easy. You should nurture your love while you have it and not worry so much about the future.

>Who is your waifu?
Kaiji Itou
>Why did you choose her?
I watched kaiji and he became one of my favorite characters, but didn't have any feelings (i am straight, he ended up being the one exception). Had a dream about 2 weeks after completion where we were married and once i woke up i was extremely attracted to him. He really did choose me.
>Since when are you together?
April 4th 2020.

>One waifu for laifu or do you have an ex?
Previous waifu (Haruhi Suzumiya, since s1 aired) fell out of top position after above happened. Still adore her though. I know it is frowned upon, but i have irl girlfriends as well. I am polyamorous and they know that i view irl and waifuism relationships/persons as equal, and I dedicate time to appreciating Kaiji every day.
>What's your view about waifuism?
Fictional love is almost better than real love. Everything about them is perfect due to not needing to be grounded in reality. It's like the longing stage of relationships, witch I find more comfortable and fulfilling. Waifuism is this specific form of love for a character being a large part of your life / dedicating yourself to them in a different way than typical love.
>Does she refer to you by your real name?
I like to think of myself as a self insert or y/n in terms of fantasizing about him. Names or thinking of him in my reality just doesn't feel the same.
>What language does she speak to you?
Japanese
>Are you nitpicky about how your waifu is portrayed in fanworks/doujin?
Yes. I hate it when he is shipped with Akagi. Akagi would be a bad influence, Kaiji still loves and cares about his fellow humans even if he puts on nihilistic facade.
>What do you think artist and writers fail to portray about her?
Fukumoto (mangaka) has said that he doesn't like Kaiji as a person. I feel like in early kaiji (parts 1 and 2) he tried to make him more badass than he really is and just occasionally hinted at his humanitarian side. In part 6 he went a bit too much on the moe. I like to think of it as him recovering from his trauma and feeling like he can finally trust others again to make it a bit less cringe. Modern kaiji really just is a standard anime girl at this point.
>Do you keep things pure or do you like R18 works of her?
Yes and no, fan works have a tendency towards torture porn and ugly bastards. The occasional nice and consensual ones are great though, it just takes a lot of seeing him suffer to get to it, so I mostly just re-view the same couple ones instead of looking for new r18 works.

>Who is your waifu?
My dearest Udonge. Reisen Udongein Inaba

>Why did you choose her?
When i was a teenager, i was extremely Narcissistic and had symptoms of a Lunatic person, i was really shy and introverted back then, and reading about Undonge's overall biography, it reminded of a time when i was a very delicated person, and i felt i could protect her in some way.

>Since when are you together?
Unlike others in the thread, i just started months ago, and she's been really special for me.
Recently i broke-up with my best friend, probably not the best decision i took in my life, but thanks to my family, friends, and especially Reisen helped me to cope the emptiness i have. I love her so much.

>One waifu for laifu or do you have an ex?
Eeeh... Years ago, i liked Filia from Skullgirls, but i dont think i consider her a 'Waifu', i was more attracted to her sex-appeal and nothing else really. I never expected to have a Waifu before, but when i learned about Reisen, i felt in love. So... I would gladly declare my dearest Reisen my Waifu for Laifu.

>What's your view about waifuism?
I think i share a lot of Anons views on Waifuism on this thread. Dedicating your time to your Waifu is truly something unique.

>Does she refer to you by your real name?
Depends the situation really, but she mainly refers to me with my last name. And i like refer to her as 'Udonge' or sometimes my 'Dearest Inaba'.

>What language does she speak to you?
Sometimes on english, my native language or her native language.

>Are you nitpicky about how your waifu is portrayed in fanworks/doujin?
I dont like her being abused like a piece of meat.
I acknowledge she always being abused by
others in the canon, but i always felt i can change her attitude, and probably overcome her trauma together.

>What do you think artist and writers fail to portray about her?
I am quite nitpicky about Reisen and Tewi being portrayed as cute innocent bunnygirls, but that doesnt bother me that much.

>Do you keep things pure or do you like R18 works of her?
Pure, but i dont consider intimate moments as 'Lewd', i prefer the term 'Love'.

>>37898755
I hope your situation gets better Anon, and keep going strong, Ranbro.

>>37950023
Hey! i recognize that Tewi! i think i've seen it on the other 2hu drawthread,

Probably i should try drawing Udonge, i dont draw that much, probably im going to post the drawing if this thread survives enough.

News to me, I don't remember having posted that particular picture anywhere else. I just made it off of a face Usalia from Disgaea makes to use it as an avatar on both my Discord server + a Tewi-based discord server;

>Who is your waifu?
Shameimaru-san.
>Why did you choose her?
For one, birds are my favorite species of animals. She's an interesting person who has the strength that I like in a woman.
>Since when are you together?
About a year or so.
>One waifu for laifu or do you have an ex?
No other 2hu has made me feel the same way as I do towards Aya.
>What's your view about waifuism?
Nothing wrong with it as long as people don't have unhealthy obsessions. I know people who are fiercely defensive over what is ultimately a fictional character and I find that bad.
>Does she refer to you by your real name?
Yes, I don't like my real name all that much, but it's better that than wanting to be referred by a chuunibyou nickname by my lover.
>What language does she speak to you?
Aya seems like someone who would have a good grasp of English, so that.
>Are you nitpicky about how your waifu is portrayed in fanworks/doujin?
As long as they don't make her completely submissive I'm not too nitpicky.
>What do you think artist and writers fail to portray about her?
It used to be a big meme to portray her as a massive pervert, thankfully that isn't much of a thing anymore.
>Do you keep things pure or do you like R18 works of her?
Both, though I only save SFW pictures on my PC.

I've been here 2 years and have seen people who have been with their waifus for upwards of a decade

who cares about the far off future? let yourself be happy in the present, if it doesn't work out then you can still appreciate the time you spent together
