Depends on your tastes. Nitroplus' Muramasa is pretty great, as is Liar-Soft's Forest. And you can't forget Age's Muv-Luv Alternative.

Fucking loved it, it still feel fresh compared to most shits made nowadays with some awesome character interactions and a great plot.
My only complain is I would have liked if the epilogue was even longer, it was already pretty long but this part of the game was so good I really didn't want it to stop.

It was made in the 90's though so it's quite different from the standards you see in eroge nowadays, the great majority of the female cast is made of experimented women for example, the OMG SHE ISN'T A VIRGIN, FUCKING SLUT won't like it.


Oh and the best VN ever is Muramasa, but it may just be because I'm still in awe after having just finished it.

If you loved the epilogue, give a try to Desire. Same writer's very first work, originally from '94 with multiple rereleases (and its even translated to english).
Its third scenario and the epilogue part is kinda similar in some aspects (albeit majorly uncomparable in others) to that.
Additionally the ending is almost as great and twisted.
Just ctrl through some parts of Makoto's route as they are shit (unless you are into NTR).
