Ok I managed to run it in fullscreen, but the menu animations are probably faster than intended, and the screen tearing is ass.
Free-sync crashes it, Vsync works (surprisingly) but makes the animations slower than normal instead.

if you grind the crap out of it you can probably get AAAs on 4-6 once you're doing 7-8+ comfortably. It's normal to get Cs and even Ds when you first start. You really gotta hone in the timing window before you get AAAs, which is pretty hard on 1-3s if you're just starting. basically dont get discouraged early and get good. if you wanna take it to the autismal level, check out iidx.org or look up playstyles. it'd be really good to do 1048 and random right at the gate if you're wanting AAAs.

He's a fairly nice and handsome guy who seems socially well-adjusted and interacts with others in the community a lot. Also helps that foot panel games are, to the layman, visually more impressive and physically more demanding than hand games like IIDX or SDVX, the latter which Chris is also good at. Compare to an equivalent like TATSU in pop'n, who is a very accomplished player but basically never interacts with anyone in the community, especially if they're not East Asian. Hell, compare with someone like Jeff/Fungah who was very good as well and sociable but had/has a massive ego and temper, or Fefemz who's good and chill but can't speak English. Osu is pretty surface level stuff, or at the very least used to be. All of the anime music drew people into it. That and keyboard stepmania were the weeb bait rhythm games for the longest time.
But I guess with gacha games like bandori and proseka being right on your phone there's not really any reason to venture off to a PC to play RSI simulator.
I'll occasionally play D4DJ if I've got some time to kill and nothing better to do. It's serviceable as a rhythm game and you can largely ignore gacha shit if you don't care about "score."

Shitty PC timing was largely due to not having a proper setup.
IIDX is a bit more lenient on hardware requirements now. The games are a lot easier to sync since tricoro, and even moreseo since Cannon Ballers.
