Hey /jp/, any drinkers here? I'm not talking about bar-goers, more like people who appreciate a good wine or beer.

Rather fond of red Indian ale's myself.

I am disappointed by the amount of people that drink the swill called beer.

I drink fine wines for fine gentlemen, such as myself.

>> No.3739973

Very much into wines. Only had a few VERY fine wines in my life, and obviously not on my dollar. But where I'm at for the moment, getting a decent wine for a cheap is like hunting for a straight man in Shinjuku ni-chome. Gotta buy it in Tokyo and bring it back.

Wasn't much into beer or liquor, especially because American beer is... well... you know. Tinted, lightly-flavored water. Then I lived with a beer-litist and an asian man who could mix drinks like nobody's business (we even constructed a bar in one room so he could mix drinks and serve them in style at parties). Now I appreciate pretty much all liquors (Rum is my standby) but am still hesitant on some beers, though there was this 120-minute IPA I had that was amazing.

Wine is still by far my preference, though. The type of drunk you get off wine just feels so much happier.

You don't know the half of it. I come from TEXAS.
They don't drink beer, they drink "burr". When I was 6, my grandfather pulled me aside and said "Now son, I'm gonna give you yer first taste of burr."

"The first sip from a can is always the best," he informed me, as the can of Lone Star opened with a *fsst*. "So today, you get to have the first sip."

One drink I like to make with vodka that isn't quality enough to be consumed on its own (yet still made it into my possession), is to mix a dash with simialrly small amounts of Creme de Framboise and Lemon Juice.
