Okay... for fucks sake this is too much. It goes on for hours and hours waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah it's so sad Maria is so lonely. waaaaaaaaaaaaah Ange is too. I've had enough god damn it. Ange and Amakusa are currently on a boat, it had better get back to the actual game soon. Jesus christ...

>> No.3727085

ITT OP has no attention span.

>> No.3727093

Yes it does.

Yes, it'll be well worth it.

You didn't like Virgilia, right?

>> No.3727096

If you think the VN does it badly, you should see the anime.

2 episodes done of the Episode 4 arc so far, and nothing has happened other than Ange and Maria flashbacks.

No, there's a difference between character development and having way too much fucking useless dialogue, and so far this is a good example of it.

Not at the end of Ep. 3 no... crafty whore...

>> No.3727100

You know that what you were reading up until now has been the part where the writer tries to point out how you should think about the novel to find out the identity of the culprit? The two backstories were only secondary information source

>> No.3727101

You would probably kill yourself if you read Family Project then.

>> No.3727105

>>3727095

Yes because the main theme and plot of the game is useless dialogue.

Ange story matters more to the plot than Rokkenjima story.

I can't blame you for it, I thought the pacing of the game was horrible. Anyway, keep reading because it's worth it.

>Ya lost me.
Let me sum it up: Ange and Maria backstories are contrasts about what happiness can mean for people. Ange is blind and Maria is naive, neither of them is right. Where Ange talks with Okonogi, he also sums this up. After this Ange's journey begins with a lots of, LOTS OF clues about the incident. Then after the boat tour, the actual game begins

>> No.3727144

It's not a question of attention span, it's not a question of "importance" of these scenes in the story, it's not the fact that these are quieter and more emotional scenes.

It's simply the fact that this part sucked, the execution was simply bad.
Ryukichi can't write emotional scenes to save his life.

When she is meeting with peoples related to the ones killed on the island. Especially at Nanjo's son and Mackerel-chan's grandson there is a lot of thinking about the relation with the diary, the gold, and the bank accounts.

Like following a train of thoughts you can guess that the real Beatrice is living on island, because every time Maria went there she met with her, or trying to find out the whereabout of the money or guessing the origin of the gold in the bank accounts. And what about the picture of the church's entrance?

Some background information about the long-dead Beato was also presented by the boatmen. Oh, and happiness has nothing to do with loneliness, it was all about happiness

I thought Battler and Beatrice were some pretty compelling characters. That was before Episode 4. Kinzo is easily the best character in Umineko, and he's not even alive.

But the conversation with the Witch Hunter is actually pretty significant when it comes to clues.

Op here again. On the topic of clues pertaining to the conversation with the professor. The main point was the note right? That was actually written by Beatrice?

>> No.3727318

>>3727297
I know only as much as you. Most likely yes, that's why it's important. It was written while Maria was in the island, so Beatrice has to be living there. When Maria and Beatrice played together and Beato set up a silly trap with the milk, that was an important clue as well about how she'll use the same traps in each episode, but some of them will never be found, nor triggered

>> No.3727345

Oh, and after Ange's happy voyage to the island ends it'll become seriously fucking insane, trying to tell the difference between reality and fantasy will be just as hard as it was in EP2

>> No.3727381

>>3727346
Was it milk? Or sugar, maybe tea? The point of the trap was lifting a glass, so a little toy hidden behind it would run out, scaring the poor victim who happened to pass by. The trap was never activated because nobody used that specific glass on the table, but Beato still had fun.
There were two point of this:
1. The victim is totally random
2. The trap is there, just because they ate canned food in EP1 that doesn't mean the food was not poisoned. Or something like that

Doesn't Battler's PoV confirm the door as being locked? I thought he was with Rosa and the servants when they opened the door to the chapel.
