As a Kohakufag, I never really cared about Melty's portrayal of Kohaku since Nasu himself flanderized her in KT. Plus Melty is supposed to be a fun light hearted fighting game so using Kohaku's true character would be a pretty big buzzkill.

This "poking fun" enters the territory of dude not funny due to how unsympathetic she is being interpreted as. I find Kohaku alot more likable than Sakura. Sakura feels more like a typical sob story character, and when I read FSN it felt like she had no energy behind her. She felt like just a motivating factor for Shirou, and not her own character.

I just can't help but love Kohaku, yet I dont give a shit about Sakura.

Relevant after all these years? What timeline are you from? It was pretty dead after Carnival with FGO and Fate being focused on. The only lifeline Tsuki had was updates to the remake or that tiny Arc sprite in the hotel Nasu saying the game was being tested. Tsukihime was in a dire state of being dead for a long time. People pay mores attention to a characters actions more than their personality or subtle character arc. People will forget about Shiki being a kind guy that doesn’t want to kill anyone and call him a rapist and murderer once they’re shown what he does and the Arc alleyway scene will be controversial. I can already see Twitter complaining about the Arc’s mystic eye being an excuse from the author that the message was that it’s a woman’s fault if they get raped for enchanting men or some bullshit. She’s her own character in HF. Won’t go on a long spiel about it but re-reading HF made me appreciate her more and analyzing HF as a whole makes it easily the best route. Sakura has amazing scenes like the rain scene, knife scene, killing Zouken, final talk with Shirou in the cavern, her talk with Rin, and more. She’s not my favorite and her cooking scenes are boring, but she has a personality and character. It’s just controversial due to her dark thoughts and her breaking Shirou.

Well, just thinking about it a little bit. Taking it's vessel would be consistent with Alien God's plans, right? It's also supposed to be sleeping in Fate worlds and ultimately become active in Tsuki worlds at some point, right? So taking it's body while it's asleep isn't strange though it might be stupid if it didn't counterattack. Ort isn't a DAA in the setting since DAA don't exist. It should logically be weaker since the members are stronger in Tsukihime settings and in Orts case specifically it probably wouldn't have been able to inherit the idea blood of the previous DAA that it killed to succeed the spot. Unless that gets ignored for no fucking reason like it probably will.

After picking up Tsukihime and playing through Ciel and Akiha I gotta say I'm really digging Shiki, he manages to be incredibly fucked up (even if it's technically not his fault) constantly hurting everyone around him and on the brink of doing heinous shit that have no turning back, while also being a legit good person that tries his best to please everyone even if it comes with risk and a cost.
If there's one thing I love is the inner monologue of characters that do/think of doing horrid shit and have to cope with the fact that they did/thought of doing horrid shit.

Cute but the point is both settings have enough wiggle room and hax if they want to do what should be impossible. That's what writing a story is about. Orts framed as something that shouldn't be killable. I don't think it will actually appear as an enemy in the first place because of that. It will probably be a plot device.

Shiki was always physically superior to Ryougi.
He's basically the same if not a bit better than OG. Still Chuuni. Depends on the situation and how much Nanaya he is like usual. Half-Vampire Shiki is another story. He's superhuman with high regeneration. He also possesses Roa's records in one route so technically I guess he's got access to a lot of knowledge so doing that attraction/gravity magic with his nerves should be possible at least.

His eyes are better too than in the OG. Still does the old crazy shit like killing the localized area of the world but now also reads a DAA's past, kills his curse/principle/IB which is looking beyond just the death of the vessel. In another route sees/spreads death like a wave so when he dot stabs the ground it links up and slices the enemy in half from a distance.

Another thing about the eyes is the Astral Body. It was a little confusing but once she started to walk, Shiki started seeing a point. It wasn't a normal point though for him to stab. It ended up being a tunnel to some conceptual universe and in order to kill the astral body he had to destabilize an egg which was basically the beginning and end of a universe. There was no point of death or lines probably since it's perfect or whatever but by attacking it and presumably making it lose it's value, he made it collapse and in turn the astral body died so I think that's related to his eyes helping to lead him to an understanding of how to destroy the body.

Now for pure outlier shit, when he was lightning surfing through the conceptual universe it said he was falling at a speed to escape the gravity of the sun and was why he only had the briefest of moments to attack the egg.

MEoDP don't really have any intrinsic weaknesses but Shiki as a whole suffers from limited effective range due to needing to stab things with a knife and having "average" (peak human-ish, usually weak relative to whoever he's fighting most of the time though) physicals. A lot of the time he gets by near side fights because people aren't taking him 100% seriously from the start.

I didn't touch F/GO at all since I'm not into mobage. Has the powerlevel hierarchy changed? Who's on the top of Type-Moon powerlevel now? Is it still ORT?

Guilty Gear's world is cool but the actual characters and villains are surprisingly lame. You'd think with their crazy designs there'd be more to them but there isn't really.
