But to be fair, this scenario in particular, not the glitch, but monsters turning real violent on their husbands if girlification was undone is actual MGE canon. And the part about monster girls turning to monsters if the Chief God defeats the Mamono Lord and is killed does appear. It has now been retconned by KC stating that even if the Mamono Lord wanted she would be unable to undo the transformation. But it was indeed official MGE lore at some point.

Because they both love grimdark fantasy and sex, and the MGE has plenty of RPG fantasy and sexy monster girls to make it appealing. On a surface level, MGE makes for a great series focusing on war: it has a massive world-level conflict between underdog humans and powerful monsters. There's ton of cool locales, great character designs, a fully-realized system around magic/items/corruption/etc. There's plenty of species designed to be good at fighting, lots of room for fantasy politics, and the world is huge and filled with 10+ years of KC making content for it.

Of course, under the surface, MGE is just a fun universe designed for monster sex rather than war, and the dark/evil aesthetic that monster girls have is just for style and fetish appeal, which doesn't satisfy the grimdark urges of /tg/fags. They seem genuinely unable to enjoy a story unless it's through self-inserting into ultra-powerful human "underdogs" who overcome evil through excessive violence. So they ignore the more light-hearted parts of MGE, interpret everything in the darkest and most uncharitable way possible, and then use that as justification for their human self-inserts to come in and slaughter them all.

To be fair the soldiers of the weaker cities were struggling but managed to keep up with the chimeras albeit they should get overhelmed eventually if Luka didn’t arrive to help. While in the Ilias Kreuz territory people were making use of mines and bombs instead.
As for the cyborgs some of them had flaws like overheating or limited lifespan. It isn’t hard for me to see after some losses the people at Grangold and the like analyzing and developing countermeasures. Lazarus did note that the cyber monsters were actually quite inexperienced in spite of the bullshit power and one of them was super worried about its armor materials when he threw sand at them.
Now the shit I don’t see happening is people surviving an angel attack. There were like 3 means of fighting an angel without counting that sword and they all relied on having monster or angel powers to bypass their nullification. Even considering angels are in fact bad at combat without that nullification you still have to find a mean to ignore it.
