Speaking of Toki I finished playing Sakura no Uta and I don't think I've ever felt a bigger disparity between how much I was annoyed by it and how much the game is praised. There were a lot of things that annoyed me about the game but the main thing were these:

VI felt completely unnecessary sequel bait. If you want to have very fulfilling life-affirming message about how you need suffering in order to experience living you might not want to have it coming from an eroge protagonist. Since by the end of the game, Naoya does not seem to have lost much of anything. He is recognized as a genius artist by the only people that matter, and all his students are literally BEGGING for his dick. So when he ends up saying "too much happiness is bad for you", it rings hollow. There are tons of other things out there that have this same message executed a lot better.

Zypressen is one of the most pretentious things I've ever read in an eroge, and I hate using that word. The content does not justify the presentation. I was rolling my eyes in this scene where Yuumi and Rina were talking about Van Gogh and life and death in the park as if they were forty year olds who had the weight of the world on their shoulders. Yeah, I'm sure this 10 year old totally made her art in the style of Van Gogh to cope with her fear of death. Jesus Christ.

Don't know if I want to read the sequel. I liked Subahibi, though.

Well maybe if you eat them raw, but I commonly cook red bell peppers in dishes to add a bit of a sweet flavor. It goes well really if the sauce/meat/whatever is spicy. Bell peppers are probably one of the most useful cooked vegetables out there. You can add them to shitload of pasta or rice dishes for flavor.

Finished Mahoyo.
Great game. Never read something by Nasu but he delivered on his reputation. Production values are great during battle scenes. Those parts where the background goes into slow motion and the next lines of text appear strike deep into my Chuuni heart.
Biggest surprise for me was great Alice turned out to be. I'm not much of a shipfag but i can't help but root for Alice X Soujuurou.

I do have some questions about the story. First of all did anyone else think Touko's actions during the final parts of the game felt really vague? Like when she beats Alice she does her best to prevent Beo from just outright killing her, but then at the end she leaves her to die while being surrounded by dogs (who conveniently dissapear when Soujuurou saves her, who only saves her because Touko outright told her where Alice is). Or how she wanted this epic showdown at the end, but it only happens because Soujuurou just randomly mentions the location to Aoko, which he learned by pure coincidence.
Even after they reveal Touko’s ‘master plan’ it still doesn't really explain why she made all of those vague contradicting choices. Couldn't she just capture Soujuurou and Alice when she had the chance and afterwards challenge Aoko directly?
Another part I didn't like is how they still didn't reveal what's up with Soujuurou. I could be missing something but, I still don’t know why he came to the city and how he got so strong. Up until the endgame I assumed he was just a mind wiped slave from Touko or something, but after he smacked up Beo I don’t really know what to make of him. Soujuurou being a super trained human dilutes his original appeal when he was just a normal dude for me. And by the way how did he even get past the barrier in the park?
