Yesterday, the Yomiuri Shimbun ran a story about a Halloween Party held on a train in Fukui. Unlike the infamous Yamanote Halloween Party, this party was organized with the cooperation of the rail company and the local community. The Fukui International Club rented out train cars and installed a music system and disco balls so people could dance on the train. About 200 people participated.

There were no reports of delayed trains or vandalism. The local police did not have to place dozens of officers at every station to maintain order. The party did not provoke rage from 2-channel or nationalist groups.
