Half of her fights in the original ended with Roa taking someone as a hostage and forcing her to submit, or against a bloodlusted Arcueid whom against virtually no one in the cast has a real chance to beat.

People aren't giving the redone Arc route the credit it deserves. Sure it's not overall very different than the original, but the devil is in details. A lot of small shit is touched up and improved imo. For example, a ton of shit you learn about Arc in the original game is actually in Ciel's route and not her own route. The remake fixed most of that so she's not mostly an enigma in her own fucking route. Some things are left unexplained obviously but a new reader has a much better idea of her. Also the date scenes are a million times better in the remake.

Zouken concept / motivation was good, but it was shoved at the LAST FIVE SECONDS before he died, before he was le creepy bug man for all the route. He's just an exploration of visionary tormented by his ideals. He flipped the "antagonist moved by ideals" and "antagonist moved by his nature" with Kirschtaria and Beryl in FGO and nobody (except rare cases) give a shit about Beryl while Kirsch is well-loved character. There was a difference in execution for both too, Beryl never questions his own "born sociopath/broken" nature, Kirsch never suffers a fall from grace like Kerry or Zouken since he was someone who had hope in humanity instead of moved by despair. It was Kirsch who was a foil while Beryl wasn't too.

- The scene at night on day 2 is very weird. It's Vlov, but Shiki's attention being drawn to his 'coat' and the melting dog are very Nero things.
- Arc says she had just dealt with some 大仕事 before Shiki killed her which is why she was weak.
- Arc says there's one dead apostle that uses multiple beast familiars but he's dead now. While this is evocative of Nero, Nero's animals aren't actually familiars.
- Nero's idea blood (presumably chaos) isn't listed by Arc in her explanation of ideas that have been dealt with
- Arc uses the remains of an ancestor to heal Shiki after the Vlov fight. The way she talks you can tell it's something she's been holding on to from before the fight.
- Mario says there's reports that there's one more 大物 in the area. Could be Arach, but Nero fits too
- It's meta but, in the Famitsu interview Takeuchi alludes to one big change made in the remake, but assures us that all changes made have meaning. Pretty sure this is referring to Nero.
To be honest I don't know how this all adds up, but I think either Nero really was defeated (not necesarily killed) by Arc before the events of the remake and he will show up in Type Lumina, or, more likely, he will have some role to play in far side.

I don't know all that much about Melty but UC has stupid long combos at its highest level play, like seriously stupid long nearly-infinite combos, I'm pretty sure you're not meant to get hit by a combo of like 20+ hits whenever anybody lands a hit on you in competitive fighting games. The serious scenes with Bazett, Angra, and Caren are top notch, nearly as good as the best of FSN. The big fights are also probably the best in the entire series, Last Interlude is absolutely incredible.

I could see why people would if they love FSN so much that they want more from the characters and SoL in general. F/HA has many of the best scenes in all of Fate with Medusa's story of almost turning into a beast being an amazing scene that makes Sakura's relationship with her stronger than in HF. Kuzuki's backstory and the back night scenes are also top notch. The general themes and the tragic nature of F/HA have grown stronger with me over time and Angra's general character arc rivals the best in the series.
