Noel is a good side character for Ciel as a way to link back to the initial Roa Elesia shit without just being pure flashback info dump. She's funny and sad in how much of a mentally broken cake hag loser she is but that's the point.
Blob I have mixed feelings on. If you want to compare him one to one with the Nero fight, I agree with that actually, he's almost purely worse in Arc's route. But again he works much better in service of the Ciel route with that first underground fight with Noel there that sets up most of her character and actually having a Ciel fight

To all the people here about the MTL patch, let me tell you a story about a success story, Tales of Destiny DC got an open source patch in may. Line we're inserted one by one and there was 265000 string of text. 68 peoples contributed and out of that mostly 10-15 people sticked with the project for real. Open beta made the proofreading and debuging easier. Programmer could lurk the discord server and give tips and some of them actually joined and help a lot. 3 months since the initial beta 100% first draft, the story have been proofread at 50% by japanese translator that joined the project around march-april. We've seen that the process work, time and time again. Stay strong, keep working and in the end 99% of the people will enjoy it. And the best of it is Cunningham's Law. The twitter ''translator'' will pick it appart with screenshots to laugh, just take the correction and ask them if they have more like this and improve the work, they'll basicly proofread for you lol.

game came out in 2006, got the DC version in 2008, and teams pretended to work on it till 2018 just for them to disband and burn everything to the ground. This actual them picked on 4-5 project at the same time and since THE CODE prevent other people from working on them, the scene basicly died when they disbanded. it took 3 years for teams and groups to actually start to fill the void. The same group who did This patch are actually 60% done on another new project, this time they decided to recruit people who made read along script to save time. All their futur project are based around that principle to get permission to use a script and translate what's not done like NPC, items etc.

The Human Order began deleting shit that diverged from Sefar. Look at LB6. The pruning system is stated run by Humanity validating their history. Even LB6 was a lostbelt (a restored pruned history by the order that continued to this day) before Morgan hijacked it. It had a tree. Even in Servant Universe, it was a human dominant place that got to change overnight because humans turned into Servants.

It's possible the natural evolution of earth lifeform is to have humanity as dominant (don't kill me to say this, it makes sense when the real world is like that). Even Tsukihime world foundation described by Nasu is "xxxxx Human History" which leaves it blank now but as an absence of what should be.

But it has become its own world type afterward with its prosperity and ability to grow and differentiate itself as Morgan wanted the fairy kingdom to become. So even if had an origin like that, doesn't mean anything to the future since the paths grew apart.

Some events that are important to the main story can be bought with golden prisms in the shop (Dantes event because he's a guest character in main story, SERAPH event, Christmas 2017 which was a Babylonia epilogue, and Ooku event) and played as "main interlude." But most are only rerun once. If you want to read them, they are probably found in youtube.
one of FGO weakness in the beginning was a huge bloated cast and no fucking length to showcase them. So a bunch of characters were "hi, bye" cameo lines, unless you rolled them and watched their interludes. Events flesh out those characters sometimes, but inevitably events are less 'serious.'

FGO does allow some characters that were given shit one dimensional antagonist roles originally (cursed hand, avicebron, for example) get some kind of character arc to prove why they are still heroic spirits or good characters. not always works, those cases I list were pretty good.

The story was structured to be played as mobage (clearly even more obvious in firs part where real life time almost reflected the game time). The main story won't change because you miss an event, your attachment to the some of characters might. After America, the chapters got longer, so most characters get at least a good scene.
Avalon that's the longest chapter yet, even the NPCs get fleshed out, and some even get their story told in flashbacks and shit.

Yes, the game isn't that hard once you get used to it, you can do it without spending real money. There's always guides around online too.
Events are temporary, they're mostly filler but some of them are story relevant.
You should play/read CCC collab event (SE.RA.PH) after Solomon, it happens after Shinjuku Singularity. You can buy this event in-game with Rare Prism (it's one of the game currencies) if you want to play it in the JP Server, you can still replay it next year in NA Server without spending in-game resources. I think it's a fun story for FGO standards, especially if you know about Extra/CCC story.
Ooku (Kama event) is also story relevant, it happens after Lostbelt 3, this one you can't buy in-game, but I think you can read it online, you can play it next year in NA server too.

You can still read everything relevant if you start in NA now, like I said, CCC collab will get a rererun next year, Kama event will get a rerun next year too. NA server is 2 years behind, that's why people know what we'll get there beforehand, you should take advantage of that too.
The game can be quite harsh for new players, but once you get used to it, it's not that hard. Free Event Servants are strong, so it's good to play events to get them. Some events have story-relevant things here and there too, so it's good to read them. Some events are locked behind story chapters, you should try to clear the story to play them. CCC collab needs Solomon cleared and Ooku needs LB3.
You can always look for guides or ask for help online.
The story starts to get better in Chapter 6, Camelot Singularity.

I think you fail to understand that this isn't the first project like this, where EOPs get together and eventually attracts other people to join etc. And spoiler alert, this process works, it's been proven. The whole concept is based on people of about n3 level, these people usually get rejected from the closed translation group cause they aren't cool enough or wtv. But if you give them time and something to practice, they become quite good. Especially with the help of deepL, they can see what's wrong right away because they known enough japanese grammar to correct the bad output. Then it's the time for the EOPs to shine, They basically act as editor for the people that know enough japanese to get a valid deepL output. Ciel's route has always been more action focused ever since the OG. Nasu just went full chuuni with the True End and maybe he felt that he needed to give Arc the buff she deserves considering the dumb powerlevels in GO. Apparently, it wasn't even supposed to be there until he went back to it in 2020 and made some changes. Nips said that Arc's supposed to have her True route down the line too so who knows? I guess we have to wait for the Far Side in 5 years or so to find out. The problem comes entirely from the fact that he deleted one of her endings and the Arc version of the Vlov fight is super action and climax heavy, so it screws with the pacing of the rest of the route even harder than the Nero fight ever did. The OG route was bland as fuck compared to the other routes, and one of the few nice things about it, which was the fight against Nrvnqsr, isn't part of the remake, because Nasu replaced Nrvnqsr (who was quite the iconic character) for a literal-who, and whose fight scene was quite meh.

The script feels more competent a lot of the dialogue is rewritten and reads better now, the new Bad ends are way more memorable, Mario's character was cool though he is better in Ciel route.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but it is hard to explain very well what I mean, since this is my feelings from when I read a long time a go. Mostly is that the most interesting thing are the villains and their mysterious plot on that city, but Kasumi route only explores Trifa background, it takes too long for important explanation of what is really happening and for us to see Reinhard plot moving forward. Marie and Rea route was fine. It is hard to go into details, what I give is only my impression, it just feels that it used too much time with some enemies that I was not so interested, while not moving forward with some relevant aspects of the plot (that castle, the more strong subordinates (eleonore, etc), etc). I am not good at reviewing, these are more impressions.
