KC keeps actively encouraging people to make their own versions and even provides templates as a starter, but you get the same textbook versions of everything other than the monsters operating at such a high power that they must be named original characters by necessity.
There's space in his world for individualism if you interpret that way, even for violent opposition to ever-expanding succusphere, but at it's heart it's a hugbox world.
MGQ feels more rewarding because the dangers are real and the girls aren't entirely onetrack. MGE has wish fulfillment written in such that you could break any rule and court the strongest of women if you truly set your heart to it.
In MGQ that might just lead to a fox girl breaking your spine and leaving you for an invertebrate to eat.

I wish there was a seperate genre term for monster girls as in anthropomorphisms of DQ enemies and Pokemon, one for monsters who are girls like Digimon and Castlevania enemies, and one for typical fantasy races like kemonomimi and elves. Like they need to call this shit something else. 'Mamono girls' or something to define MGE and derived shit from normal non human characters that actually have males of their race and do things other that look for husbands to fuck forever. "Parasite succubi" or something, since that seems to be what they ultimately are, or "monster brides/mamono maidens"

A tangent, but I really like the Repure Aria games, despite being in the encyclopedia & monster girl genre because it has a world where A: non-human males exist, B: The girls do things other than fuck all the time(and have a real reason for being horny other than needing human semen to live), C: Has mostly human looking monsters and actual humans aren't excluded either, and D: Is hedonistic instead of some "this girl was a historically male monster who slaughtered thousands of humans years ago but is now my eternally horny virgin wife" fantasy.
