Not the same anon you were talking to, but I liked Theodore’s because it’s rare for games where you end up as an unrepentant villain with an unhinged competent sidekick. It was also funny how easily Theodore flips out when things doesn’t go as he expected. I think it did, but as you'd guess, it's never enough for the crowd that they're pandering to (the crowd that tries to feel offended and outraged on purpose). I think I read the game had sexual violence warning but apparently this wasn't enough to cover rape for some people, the game should've had a separate warning for rape. The more dishonest you get with this type of thinking the more you can make up reasons why the dev failed and deeply hurt your feelings and why they have to obey your demands on how to make the game more X Y and Z.

Sometimes I wonder how these devs are so naive they'd willingly communicate with people like this. There tends to be a heavy focus on SoL, so a lot of their games suffer from long stretches of being uninteresting or in the worst cases the entire game being uninteresting(Starry Sky).
Then there was stuff like Re:Birthday where the first route you do is decent, but they reuse the same template of developments in the rest of the routes to the point it becomes a slog and ruins the experience of your first route in retrospect.
On top of this their writing is just flavorless in general. There's nothing wrong with SoL itself but you need some kind of hook to carry it like an interesting MC or setting or good chemistry between the cast and they suck at doing this. The best I've seen them do was Seishun Hajimemashita where the cast was lively and intertwined enough to pull off the kind of atmosphere that worked(but then some of the drama in individual routes sucked so that was a mixed experience too). Basically they always disappointed in some way.
