What are you going to vote next month /jp/? Baldr Sky Dive1 is auto-win unless there's an active movement to pool some support. I'll go with Ruitomo because I love the formula.

Saihate no Ima and Ruitomo seems similar; high school friends creating a circle to solve each other's problems and getting to life and death situations.

Ruitomo has trap protag and focus on occult, while Saihate has complicated science and Romeo. Both god-tier translation difficulty only Ixrec (available tler at this moment) can handle.

Oh yeah AFAIK he'd retire when he tled 8 games at maximum. So we'll only have him for extra 2-4 years at best.

Most of the stuff listed here have high production value.

Swan Song have intriguing survival plot in dystopian setting. Ruitomo is most popular for 'character chemistry', Liar-soft titles (Shikkoku no Sharnoth, Cannonball, Forest, Valcia) for stylistic visual approach. Kara no Shoujo has one of the best BGM tracks. Each titles have their own specialty.

Yeah I agree. Inganock is cool at first but gets boring and repetitive for the weekly monster fightan. It's like watching mahou shoujo anime, but this one is mahou doctor. Luckily the plot is deep enough.

>Well the screenshots of Valcia sure look good though, and it's finnally fully voiced.
It's weird because I like Inganock's spare voicing; when the voices come you knew that the scene is important. Valcia's full voice approach makes Gii's sexy manvoice (who voiced two characters at Valcia) loses its impact.

Sharnoth is just avarage in my opinion, it has that historical fiqures as gimmick, wich after a while wears of and after that it only really has the art. story is extremely repetitive at points, you could basicly only have the few first and last chapters and cut everything in the middle and you wouldnt lose anything. In the end inganock and sharnoth are extremely similar, greatest difference being the setting.

That's almost the same as Inganock. Just that inbetween the sequence there's always new things to discover (part of the setting, major plot overshadowing, Gii's character development etc). Ixrec doesn't have big problem with this so he gave it almost perfect score (just like Chaos;Head), but I'm sure this will be the biggest polarizing factor.

So WAB series win by design; how many welldone VN features settings like darkfantasy steampunk City, mysterious gothic London and Arabian Nights? Even with its flaw no other titles/companies could match this element.

>But the real reason I can't give this a ten was that the ending was both a little more predictable and a little less conclusive than it should have been. Of course, this doesn't change the fact that it was amazing.

I can't see that as 'not liking', he justs thinks that it's a bit worse than the last part of the game, which is amazing.

>> No.3595802

You can't get anything but the "normal" ending on the first playthrough so he probably got that.

FWIW, I thought the ending was pretty awesome, even if it was foreseeable. It's one of the few VN scenes I still rewatch every now and then.

>Oh, and thanks to the guy who wrote the MLA post on the forums

Ahh yeah that was me, I figured it was a good idea to maybe reach out to the people voting for other things, doubt it did anything though.

Is nobody actually reading what Ixrec said after that? Or am I misinterpreting what he said? Everyone here who is saying they won't vote for Alternative is because no EX/UL. But from what he replied with it makes me think he'd do EX/UL if he loves Alternative.

Well he will probably only do the two main routes in EX to cut down on all the cliche shit, which is a good choice. And like I stated earlier in the thread Extra really isn't all that long when you think about it, Meiya's route is 95% of Sumika's all over again.

Unlimited however....well yeah, that's kinda long. No way to shorten that except to cut off multiple endings and only do one, but the endings aren't all that long so it wouldn't save very much time.

However, I still hold out hope that there's some way I can minimize the amount of cliche one has to endure to reach Alternative (I recently had the rather outlandish idea of making an "abridged" Extra/Unlimited once I had full script access). But as you say, all plans are on hold until I finally read MLA, which I intend to do after finishing YUNO.

Well chances are if you didn't like EX/UL, you won't like AL.
Then again, EX and UL aren't that long if you don't play the side routes, you just need to finish Sumika's and Meiya's routes in Extra and Meiya's in Unlimited.
Though I'd recommend playing Kei's and Tama's EX routes or you won't know some characters in Alternative.

the trick is, they feed you boring shit all the while, but once you reach alternative all of it starts clicking together and you shit 2x bricks than if you had read only Alt.
Sure, Alt has flashbacks ans is a great stand alone game so that you'd probably be able to enjoy it anyways, but the atmosphere of knowing what Takeru went through, what's behind his reasoning etc is part of what makes Alt awesome.
I know there's a particular word for this, but it's late and my English is failing me.

Fix'd. EX is just generic school comedy, UL is more similar to AL. Alternative history, student conscription, secret projects, mechas, aliens, etc.

As much as I would prefer Flyable Heart, it's going to get bashed down HARD if it gets remotely near the final contenders.

And it's been mentioned on irc that she's called him on his cell before.
