I watched the BanG Dream! anime when it originally aired but thought nothing of it, passed it off as a low-budget seasonal anime. Years later I heard buzz about the Garupa rhythm game on SNS and decided to give it a shot and immediately got hooked. I was already into seiyuu culture and studying Japanese at that time though.
I really love how tightly-knit these Bushiroad franchises are though, it's really great to see some of these girls do anything from voice acting, stage performances and DJing all at the same time.

Nothing here is really my favourite franchise by any means, I got interested in the seiyuu first and the IP stuff followed afterwards.
Revue is probably my favourite from the main franchises posted here, followed by AL then bandori and d4dj.
I do have this thread to thank for a lot of other related projects, mostly stageplays and such.

I feel like half the fun is seeing the cast do stupid/silly stuff while still in costume, because their characters would never do such things normally.

Rehearsal pictures and stories like the recent one where Pi-chan didn't realize she was wearing Natsuyoshi's modesty shorts and still throwing her zachou weight around to get the other performers ready are fun too. Going off their tweets, one would be led to believe the Odaiba cast are up to shenanigans every rehearsal session. I blame Hirosawa. It's always Hirosawa.

I played some Roselia songs in osu and liked them a lot so I decided to check the band out on YT. The first video that popped up was a Neo-Aspect live performance and that's when I fell in love with Bandori.
I downloaded the mobage after that and here I am. Well, being into LL seiyuus (especially Mimorin) before sure did help, but now I'm a lot more invested in the Bushiverse.

first time i heard of bang dream was because friends in my discord downloaded the jp version to check out. i ended up downloading it when en launched because it looked fun but i did not play it very long. when i really started to get into the game was when i went to the NJPW show in SF and they played the kenny omega ad like every minute.

Yeah, I'm still interested, just not as much as I was before/as I'd want to. I still love the music and the girls, I'm collecting their CDs and BDs whenever I have the chance, but unfortunately my free time is limited and I don't watch all the livestreams, etc. I haven't even seen the Nijigaku anime or their lives yet, not to mention the new series.
I'd love to get back into LL properly, but whatever time I have I commit to Bandori and D4DJ now. I guess I could split my time to go with both Bushi and LL, but either would be too half-assed for my autism and I wouldn't feel happy with it.

I used to be a hardcore LL fan back in the μ's era all the way to the Aqours era. Then Nijigasaki was announced around the same time as Bandori, but by then I dropped LL for Bandori. Now I'm more invested in Bushiroad than Love Live, but I still often check up with LL from time to time. I'm surprised their fanbase has gen Z kids now.

I discovered Bang Dream in 2017, it was the day the first JP event in the game released but I got bored with it after trying it out. Then summer hit, and I decided to watch the whole 1st season, and I still got bored with it. I came bsck again to watch a Roselia live performance and became captured by the seiyuu's charisma and energy, so I decided to actually pick up the game this time. The few vocal bad apples rather spoiled the atmosphere of English-medium fandom discussion I've seen here and at certain other platforms; most discussion I choose to see or take part in these days isn't in English. I'm not about to go "think of the kiddos" or whatever but new or younger fans, especially EOPs, wouldn't have experienced the days when those insufferable individuals were less prominent and well, too bad for them.

I had watched the Starlight anime when it aired and liked it, but only got into the seiyuu after rewatching it on a whim in early 2020 and really falling in love with it. I watched the plays and lives (Hokori to Ogori live blew me away)
I found the Starlight youtube channel seiyuu streams and from there started watching other bushi franchises (first time following seiyuu content).

My only regret is not starting when I originally watched Starlight, I had no idea it was a mixed media franchise (or even what one was)

I saw an ad for garupa before Worldwide launch and thought something like: "Launch bonus, if I don't actually play who cares, but if I do I have more items than people who start later," as you might guess, I actually ended up caring. (unfortunately lost my first profile.)
After that I watched the anime and sort of kept up with new info although I was more into other stuff for a while. Eventually I got back to the game on a new profile on a new phone.

When I found out about the bandori collab in Relive I started playing that and still do. (That was 10 months ago now and I feel like I have done nothing in that time.)
I haven't watched the anime nor do I read the game stories, if anyone wishes to convince me to then you may.

For D4DJ I don't remember where I actually first found it, but it was a while before anything released. It's the series I keep up the most with now, even though I still think of myself as more of a bandori fan. Yes I am stupid and migrated my original JP gurumiku account to WW.

Nowadays whenever I see an anime with Bushiroad anywhere in the credits I usually watch it.

Do you enjoy the 2D aspects of Bandori, Gurumiku etc over the 3D aspects? If the answer is yes, the anime is a good starting point, or you can watch the first movie for a more accelerated run through major plot points while getting a taste of the visual style used in the TV series. If the voice actresses are more your cup, then you might as well watch #1 revival - #2 - #2 revival - BLUE GLITTER, in that order. #2 and #2 revival have the exact same script, but #2 revival delivers it differently (some would say in a better way, though that is up to personal taste).

You can also watch the concerts with Kukugumi and their extended cast, but the songs hit differently if you have experienced the storylines that utilized them, rather than just watch performances without much context.

I enjoy Starlight, but the animated show(s) is/are a more fun experience than the mobage because one doesn't have to slog through the tedium of battling mobs just to unlock stories. Most
ingame stories can be found posted to youtube/bilibili, and they make more sense after watching the anime anyway, so it's less confusing to start from a easier point (anime, movie, or #1).

I kinda liked it, but I didn't get into it that much and didn't bother with game, because I had impression that every gacha game is a loading screen simulator.
As vocaloidfag as I heard that Project Sekai will be made by Bandori studio I decided to check the game out and soon after watched the S2 and S3.
Then D4DJ anime started airing and also got into game.

As for seiyuu stuff I think it started with me searching Mikku on YT. I was curious since I remember her voice from Locodol and after hearing Kokoro I wondered what she's up to. Since then YT started giving me Bandori seiyuu recommendations. Aiai's Language Class and Tsumutsumu videos hooked me up.

It puzzles me why Bushiroad's marketing people didn't emphasize Popipa's selling point of "voice actresses who also play their characters' instruments" when Aimi playing guitar was what sparked off the idea to begin with, and Milky Holmes already showed how it was possible for a seiyuu group to eclipse its source material among the otaku crowd. It would have been easy for a newbie audience to write off the first anime due to the janky art and superficial similarities with K-ON.

I attended AFA in...it was probably 2017, and they got more recognizable figures like Morishi and Soramaru onstage for some talk event first, then Popipa came after to use the same area, tapping on the audience who were already there for the more recognizable ones (and didn't leave yet for whatever reason). If the anime didn't gain much traction, maybe shifting the focus onto the band(s) helped generate more interest in the game and overall project.

Yeah, her solo album is a bit disappointing for me. I love her singing in Roselia and Kukugumi and can listen to the songs over and over again, but SiGN is kinda meh.

I think Elsa is usually the one considered a "Disney princess" despite being a queen, though the sisters have about equal weightage in billing to the Japanese audience where the series is titled "Anna and the Snow Queen" if we're literal with it.

In any case, Mimo's costume is Anna-inspired, not dressing as Anna (who goes around dressed for adventure because she's adventuring in both movies).

I don't know if it's tied to fashion or whatever, but I think the makeup was also a bit weird back then. When you look at older photos and videos up to 2013-14 it's really apparent. Things like different colors for cheeks, lipstick, the overall shininess, etc.
