Depends on if you are willing to spend money in case your favourite happens to be next. Their release schedule seems impossible to predict besides the most obvious stuff, like the next banner not being Loli Yuyuko. If they can make a wildcard banner like Suika, then they could do almost anything. The chance of actually getting Red Marisa is the same as it is for regular FES characters in their own banners so there is a good chance you might go home with no dupes if you can not spark. If you only have something like 400 cubes to roll then the chances of getting 2 dupes are super slim.

Just don't roll in every single banner. That never a good idea in any gacha game for F2P. You don't need 20 top tier characters to grind event stages. This game has nothing compared to the real big dogs in the gacha scene when it comes to jewish ways to drain your money. You can actually roll in banners in this game as a F2P compared to something like Genshin Impact where you get less than 1 roll a day for free. If this game was on the level of the real money drainers, then you would not get any paper dolls ever.

Honestly, besides super fes units, it doesn't feel that way to me. You can easily get a specific friend through sparking, and then MLB them through the weekly paper dolls. Other gachas I've played/heard of don't have sparks or make you keep rolling copies of characters to power them up. And maybe the tower will change my mind, but none of the content has felt p2w either. That being said, the global devs seem like they'd make the game p2w if they could.

Well, I come from GBF, so I'm used to sparks and only needing one copy of an unit. I rerolled for Red Marisa here and feel like it's literally a useless roll until the game decides to unlock towers and I can beat them to get more dolls to make her useful. Also takes 2 months per 3 units to unlock last words. Doesn't feel like f2p friendly compared to GBF, E7 and some other games I've played throughout the years.

Alice gets bonus points for the debuffs she brings but she already has an accuracy buff on her skill 3 so her last word is not mandatory for her to be good. Reimu needs her last word to really help out. I would wait a bit to see if global will buff Meiling tho. She might be worth powering up fully if they add the buffs.

The stat increase helps her but i still think she needs a proper change to her kit. She only really needs to get more yin atk buffs added on her skills, and maybe add more star element bullets and some fire in her attacks. The hardest i could hit with her with only her buffs and 3P boost was around 264k post reincarnation lv100.

Grinding reincarnated Sanae back to lvl 100 is going to be the absolute worst. She can never grind any event stages on her own besides the ones that are 70 levels below her. I think only Reisen 2 and Dai are going to be worse to grind up again. Even the smelly fish will have an easier time because she at least deals some damage with her regular attacks and spells.

With your 110 rolls (ignoring cubes you'll get from dailies and login), you have a ~58% to NOT get another copy. The odds are against you.
Of course, you've defied the odds once already, so you could do it again. And since it runs two weeks, you might be able to get enough cubes to spark. How many rolls have you done so far?

Be sure to also do your errands. Once you run out of urgent errands you can spawn, do your regular errands specially if they are 1 hour. After doing regular errands you have a chance to spawn 30 minute errands, including cube errands. It's certainly useful. Also every store reset buy the cube offer if it appears.

Getting Medicine her LW makes her act before Ran because of Charge so it won't full break.
I'm gonna experiment with having her in the backline or have a backline group strong enough to punch through whatever remains since Lily will break Marisa consistently, but how much damage will get cashed in will depend whether that's before or after Ran gets 3P.
Main issue right now is that poison stacks expire and the frontline survives a minimum of 3 turns

I am looking at the altema.jp tower floor descriptions and while it give the enemy weakness and resistences it fails to mention which, if any, characters are on them. I have been led to believe that there will be floors with generic mob enemies. However the list provided by the altema.jp Touhou LostWord fansite omits to mention which potential friends I can expect to see on each floor.
As I am cripplingly autistic with severe social disorders I am trying to put together optimal teams so that I can most efficient clear each floor with the intent to refrain from using spellcards as much as possible. Does there exist a list which shows the actual composition of each floor? If such a list exists, and a person within this thread has knowledge and access to it, would it be possible for someone to share it with myself and others who may be interested and use this thread? I eagerly await your reply.

We just got Chapter 3 Act 2, and there's more coming soon-ish since there's a section for Chapter 3 Act 3 already. Hopefully we get more story related content, NN JP team focuses more on releasing events and doing numerous collabs with music groups/artists to do MVs, on top of merch and advertising. I also like the characters, and I kind of appreciate that the story structure allows them to tell a decently serious small story in alternate Gensokyo with the main story acts, and some more lighthearted antics in "our" Gensokyo with the events. It was cute to see Kasen trying to train Reimu in the recent event.

It's also nice to see characters that are generally depicted as punching bags like Youmu, Meiling, and Reisen succeed and receive praise from their masters when you help them with their events. I appreciate that the PC is on "their side" trying to help them succeed, and I feel happy when Remilia and Eirin praise them. Yeah, they're kind of buttmonkey characters in canon as well, but it feels good to help them find a "win". I thought Event Flan trying to stick up for Meiling, and all the SDM residents trying to rally together without Remilia to escort Reimu through the tower were rather touching character moments.

All in all the writing in the game surprises me because even if the scenarios are rather basic, there's a lot of details that I didn't expect, including references to newer games and print works, especially on the Story Cards.

That's not what I meant at all. This is the man based enough to let Mamizou take a bath mid-battle. I just assume he set some sort of restrictions on what kind of costumes would be okay to use, since otherwise swimsuits are such a no-brainer for a gacha game. And they've already started adding wedding dresses, the other no-brainer.

And even the bunnysuits are the weirdest bunnysuits I've seen in my life. So either ZUN set restrictions on how much skin characters could show, or the costume designer had a stroke while making them.

She hits hard, can manipulate turn order. Buffs the entire party. Debuffs all the enemies. Right now she is just monsterously strong outside of Whalerisa, but when stronger characters are added she will transition into an extremely solid support character that can carry her own weight on the attack. Pairing Suika with Remilia and AltMarisa makes and absolutely don't give a fuck overkill Yin rape squad as their abilities synergize into a beast of a team.

She's good for short fights because she hits like a truck and for long fights because she's going to keep buffing your party while debuffing the enemy and constantly regenerating barriers so she's going to basically just keep cycling barriers, grazes, and buffs if the enemy can't kill her.

She's strong but provides a stupid amount of utility with her abilities, elemental coverage, and buffs/debuffs. Don't underplay just how massive a team-wide accuracy buff is; it makes characters that otherwise might need help with accuracy able to set aside the phones and use an actual BiS story card.

The Edgy Youmu card really unlocks her too and keeps her relevant even in the game state JP is currently in.

You know what's funny? They would've made more money if they had waited for this banner.
Think about it.

I use Red Marisa, Suika and Miko for full auto. Eiki would also work for Miko but Miko does more damage and is faster. Youmu is weak to fire, sun and moon and characters on full auto will use their first shot all the time in this fight so you need characters who have elements on that shot even at no boost. Someone like Mokou will constantly use the wrong shot. Miko has a tendency to die though since she can not recover her barriers so her motivation drops quickly.

I feel in general the characters are too nice and not bitchy enough. Most touhou characters are absolute cunts, like Reimu. Reimu is WAY too nice to you. Reimu barely gives a fuck about ANYONE, let alone an outsider. There's also stuff like Daiyousei and Koakuma's prominence, or indeed master's praising their servants. Take Yuyuko for instance: most of the time the reason she belittles Youmu is not that Youmu has failed, but because Youmu has tried to do something that she thinks is dumb as fuck. Similarly Reisen gets shit on for doing things on her own as well. The idea is that they're wily, actually, and that their masters are the ones exasperated by how careless they're being (or in Youmu's case, often outright dumb). There was also like, an event that had Ringo and Seiran be hard rivals. Sure Seiran is salty about Ringo's success, but Ringo doesn't give a *fuck*, about practically anything, so characterizing her as also engaging in a rivalry is eh.

To me, most of the depictions are like "eh", but some are spot on and I'm very happy about them. It feels like a "palatable" Touhou to me, which isn't personally why I dig Touhou. At least it's certainly not awful.

Anyway these folks (outsiders) get got all the time, it doesn't even faze the protagonists and they don't really go out of their way to help such people.

Also Yukari isn't omnipotent, people can get in outside of her knowledge and she's not a regulator--it doesn't matter if or how they do.

The only thing that makes the LW protag okay is that they can help with the incident but even then
-Reimu really is a bitch and ordinarily would still not utilize this person for help because she's a stubborn shit
-Reimu is a bitch who would *not* treat the person all that kindly. Like asking "are you okay?" or anything like that, nope.
-They could've easily missed that she could help. Ordinarily they wouldn't even do much more than go "oh, uh, hi" then either ignore them or send them to the outside world

It's a lot of contrivance basically, or rather the setting is just plain softer than it is in canon. If you dig that that's cool, it does rub me the wrong way. I LIKE the twisted nature, the apathy of the protagonists, and so on.

I forget, is it established that we're in the "prime" world? If not, I suppose you could see the Gensokyo LW is in as an alternate one, and not the "true" one we see in the mainline titles. The Reimu we're with very much seems to reside with real life's common sense, where the smallest nuances are fussed over and you help someone in need. I dunno if it's just doujins and shit getting to me, but I was under the impression that Gensokyo's common sense was taking the extraordinary in stride, being either straightforward or secretive in your intent, and just generally being whimsical.
